By like, 30 seconds! And we went for the same naming gimmick, but different cultivars. Also I have a nice image.

ahhgosh⁙⁝⁛ this game🎕 its gots such a charming cute style but like darkish♡🎔 *・゚✧ cute-macabre, i guess… the painterly art style is super duper awesome* ͙܍ !

am i wrong for getting major《boy and his blob》vibes or somethings? like kinda slowish movements, but super expressive animations! i am totally looking forward to seeing what the world of this game looks like (^▽^)

this is basically the desaturated gothic version of that right now, it has a similar sort of charm to it, just in a very different tone with the doll-like animation and blood

Wasn't aware of this game before but it looks pretty interesting. I appreciate weird mechanics and a weird storyline that attempts to explain them.

I don't think you checked the notes after waking up the giant. I'd imagine something was added at that point.

Anyone else thought of this when seeing the title?

I'm intrigued by the premise of absorbing and infusing blood as a literal life force that contains memories and motion within. It feels like an analogue of what happens in a book by Lois Lowry

The Giver

.

And it looks like Rose moves like a real life person, in that she doesn't jump very high and doesn't react well to dropping from a large enough height. I haven't seen this kind of realistic jumping physics outside of 3D shooter or survival games, and this game presents that quite well.

Well this is certainly very different from the only Nippon Ichi title I've played (Rhapsody A Musical Adventure) but I am interested and eager to see more.

I'm playing along for this one. Was intrigued by the trailer and have kept away from any spoilers.

I'm one room past where raocow stopped and enjoying things so far. Getting an Ico vibe from the setting/setup. And I couldn't help but expect to hear Monokuma's voice when I absorbed that blood memory.

Another B side I didn't care for myself, but I think will make for an excellent LP. I loved everything about the game with the exception of the character's excruciatingly slow movement speed. It does add to the atmosphere of the game, but it can get tedious. I made it to a large room with a bunch of ladders. I was (very slowly) exploring, face-planting every time I fell more than an inch, and, well, I just couldn't take it any more. I quit.

It's a great game if you have the patience for it, but patience is not one of my virtues. I wish all games had emulator turbo modes.

It's a good thing the curse of thorns likes the colour red and not say blue. Imagine if Rose went around reading the memories of crabs.

I can only imagine that after a while of being forced to kill yourself to appease the thorns, it becomes a mundane annoyance.
"What? You mean I have to get flayed again? This is the third time this week. Why can't we do something fun; like a quartering?"

I think you could draw blood by burning people. It would happen after they're already dead; but if the insides get hot enough, the juices expand and start rising to the surface, sometimes violently.

I wish I had more to say, but I can't think of much to add! :catplanet:

It's a neat game, cute art and I like the aesthetics, and it's always fun to see raocow play a puzzle game. I've never heard of this prior to his playthrough, so I'm enjoying it blind, too.

I'm watching this before going to bed, so I'm usually too sleepy to post a comment after I've updated the OP

Also it's kind of a slow, sedate game with a grim little aesthetic that hasn't changed much since the start, so...

Today seemed like a pretty significant change to how the game works. Now we have things that have the red color fade away after a while instead of staying red. I guess it's because you're not transferring the lifeblood essence but just pouring some liquid?
