when raocow finally decides to do the thing he's been meaning to do for the past 5 videos, i want him to stop the emulator and just boot up Voxatron.

Honestly, I don't have to say about Cascade Falls :(.

100 Coin Stars/8 Red Coin Stars were much of a tedious hassle to do in rom hacks these days. While most hacks were going to that tradition, some hacks reduce the Coin Star count up to, like 80 and the Red Coins to like 6 to reduce the tedium. It was nice in Peach's Memory that most levels were small enough to get the coins faster.

You heard the rao, it's a good idea.

Also can you make some levels in Voxatron?

I know nothing about Voxatron except that raocow used to plop the bad boy when there was spare time or something went wrong.

Bowser's Stage is the last stage you'll have to clear in the main game but there's gonna be a post game level. So keep collecting stars until the game tells you.

I know how it feels to be frustrated on the point where you're having a hard time in the game, while there was an easier option on clearing the task. Sometimes, I blame the game for not corresponding to the inputs, but I would blame myself too if I made mistakes and some things lacking. (I'm sorry)

To answer the question from the beginning of the video:
There are no other major areas, but the prison door requires 59 stars and thus can't be opened until after getting every other star, including Bowser world.

There are some nuances about long jumping in SM 64. There is situation when you stop Mario and don't touch any control. Then you choose new direction. But if Mario didn't stop completely previously, because momentum, then instead going directly into that direction, Mario will start turning into new direction. The catch is that this turning animation will cancel any attempt to do long jump. And instead Mario will just jump. This happened to you, raocow, few times and you died in result.

Long jumping needs momentum. In other words Mario must do at least 2 or 3 steps before long jump. The reason for most of your deaths was that you attempted long jump just after doing 1 step. And that's just not enough and it will always result with normal hop. I guess that this is the first time in this hack that you are forced to jump from small platform to another small platform. And this forced you psychologically to rush with long jumping. And that's why you died most of the time.

Adding to what other people have said, double jumps in areas like these are the best tool you have, since they allow you to kick mid-air to reposition yourself- much like the spin move in Mario Galaxy functions. You just need to not go so fast that you would dive, but that aside, it's probably better to integrate that move as much as possible, as it is the bread and butter of Mario 64 romhacking, and basically second nature to anyone who plays enough of these.

I can empathize with raocow not due to the controls or physics but ’cause o’ that music. In this video, I only had to listen to probably a 20th o’ the amount that raocow had to listen to, & it drove me nuts. I love Super Mario Odyssey, but this song is just awful.
Wenn alle stehen bleiben und anstarren
und sagen, <¿Warum musst du so sein?>,
schaue ich ihnen einfach in die Augen
und sage ihnen, dass ich von Fledermäusen aufgezogen wurde.

Is raocow pressing Z after getting a running start? Or, does the think just holding the Z button all the time make him long jump?

Well you can when you already performed the long jump but you can't coz he'll just be ducking all the time.

Also, some warning...

Course 4 contains some advanced SM64 mechanics. It will be janky at this point so you have to brace yourself rao.

The invisible cap star here was the second hardest in the whole game for me. I'm not good at going fast, and didn't know about the ground pound thing. That star alone took me an hour and a half.

It took me a few attempts to beat the Vanish Cap's duration to get to Toad till I took the shortcut.

that's what I usually do with SM64 hacks, I try for the 100 coin star and if there's a red coin star do that at the same time. usually works out pretty well

Yep, the very 1st Star of Course 4 was indeed a chore to do due to its precise way of doing the "Sand Thwomp Long Jump". So you had to do it multiple times in order to get the right long jump to pull that off.

It's also possible to do smaller adjustments with the D-Pad in lakitu mode.

I just binged every episode up until now in one day and I gotta say this hack's obsession with wall jumps, long jumps and advanced Mario movement is kinda rubbing me the wrong way.
Also four stars in Desert Land were freebies I'm like????

I don't think I'd like this hack very much.

It was okay at the first courses, but yeah the walljump and longjump segments are kinda abusive. Can't say that the creator didn't have more ideas for platforming but those could be the only obstacles that he can do.
