Re: Star Fox (SNES) - The Necromancer keeps watch with his magic prism eyes.

One thing I've liked about watching these videos is seeing how this game inspired later Star Fox games. I've seen a few familiar bosses, but seeing the surface of Venom felt as if I was watching some kind of prototype of Star Fox 64.

I thought I noticed this before, but in this video it's quite clear that shooting your teammates doesn't damage them, which is nice. I can't help but be reminded of when I played Star Fox 64 3D, and I noticed that your teammates now have multiple lines to choose from when you shoot them; my curiosity may have contributed to their ships getting banged up to the point they had to flee.

I can't help but think those that get motion sick while playing a video games get a bit too immersed in those worlds while playing.

Fun fact: Even Shigero Myamoto got motion sick while Super Mario Galaxy was in development. So he couldn't play for long periods.

I can handle Corneria level 2, but Sector X is where the game punched me in the face. Then I went to play Star Fox 2.

Probably will be when he ends the LP. He did hint at it, in video, a couple times.

Judging by "Macbeth" over on Path 3, Titania is presumably named after the character Titania from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and would be pronounced the same way.

I guess the reason this level destroyed me is because I couldn't operate Arwing around the obstacles. That and desperately trying to 100% the level.

Everthing after this I haven't seen!

Is there something notable about that video or is that just a duplicate of the OP link

I've been doing that for the past five videos and you're the first person to comment on me doing that.

It really doesn't help that the constraints of where you can be will slowly pull you in towards the center as you get closer to an obstacle. That was my issue most of the time on this stage. Get in a location where it seems like I should avoid getting hit but the constraints of your position mean you're actually going to get hit regardless. It's actually rather annoying because in a hectic level like that it can be difficult to tell that you're hitting those limits.

And they expect you to do that in 1st person, by default. I'm with raocow, I don't like 1st person views.

i legit thought you were looping around again @ second part of titania

also exploiting a whole other planet for its resources is some late stage capitalism shit

i'd like to see that getting deconstructed in some fanfiction about the politics of the star fox world, like how it affects the wildlife of titania and what sort of pollution and rampant abuse of nature's wealth the corneria equivalent of the UN lets slide for the sake of benefiting the upper-middle and upper class folk

I've always pronounced Titania "tih-TAH-nyuh". I don't recall if I've ever seen any sort of pronunciation guide, though presumably the Gargoyles cartoon did their research on such things:

Even I'm confused about where you had to shoot the arms.

Looked like right before they broke off, you were shooting the arm pit.

I'd love to see raocow play starfox 64 at some point just to show how its returning planets and bosses compare and contrast with Starfox classic.

it looks to me like raocow had to shoot into the hands and the shots were traveling up the arm and hitting the boss from the inside
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

So far, the only bosses I've seen that carried over between games is the Attack Carrier and the Rock Smasher. A few more enemies from this game also transitioned to Starfox Zero, but there is still a lot in this game that only made a appearance here.

I think this level was a bit of an issue for me because of shooting at anything that moved. Oops.
