Before I decided to joke about "chaotics", one of my post ideas was "Unfun Sonic Facts! [line break] In the Archie comics written by Ken Penders, Vector is a misogynist." so this was absolutely on my mind
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Fun Special Stage Facts!

you probably shouldn't use a visually dramatic countdown with warning noises if it can be delayed second by second

Your ring count does go indeed go down in that bonus stage, and there is next to no reason to enter them when you're really trying to make sure you have enough at the end to enter the Special Stages. Like many things in this game, it's just not really thought out that well.

Honestly, this game always makes me think it wanted to be a full-on Sonic CD sequel, but it misses so much in terms of level design since there's nothing to actually look out for in the stages like the baddie generators and Metal Sonic projectors. Instead, it's just bring a buddy along and try not to get lost as you climb your way through these not very populated and colorful messes of levels.

I think I understand now why they ultimately decided not to make Espio the protagonist of this game. Dude's kinda ooglay.

thank god special stages are going to be thrown out half the time soonish
unironically kinda sort want to ask rao to stop going for them entirely going forward, watching him trying and failing to adapt to different gameplay time and again is an active fun-sucker

Conversely, I'm finding it funny at this point because it's more of a "How will things go wrong this time?" deal. And it's also the only part of the game that's really presented a challenge outside of trying to figure out where to even go.

many people have already said this but like. every single stage in this game is a big fat load of farts and nothing. the only reason to play this game is music and graphics.

just a hot take coming from a lowkey sonic tolerater.
i dont like calling myself a fan considering how reckless sega is with the ip, nothing against most of the fanbase. all fandoms have their issues.

also we haven't seen speed slider in a hot minute
