Something neat I found out once from Sonic the Hedgeblog: In 1994, the Sega Saturn got a version of Rad Mobile called Gale Racer, but instead of just one Sonic air freshener, they included a whole set of them! This includes some characters who barely showed up in Sonic games even back then.

While I don't normally comment on such things, for future reference, raocow, the phrase that I think you were going for there is "wide breadth".

As to the video itself...uh, hoo boy that sure was a game integral to the Sonic the Hedgehog mythos. Between the AtMM one shots and now this (and Star Fox), I appreciate getting to see raocow playing something other than a platformer. It's an interesting change of pace.

i was gonna comment about this! mighty the armadillo and ray the flying squirrel in particular show up hangin' out here and they wouldn't show up in any game ANY capacity (except for mighty being in chaotix and chaotix art showing up in gems collection) until a cameo in generations, about a 17-year span without these characters being acknowledged outside of the different sonic comics

(i love mighty, so just so everyone knows ti'm basically never going to shut up about him)

I completely understand why a lot of people aren't happy with raocow's chosen format, but since the c-side already doesn't interupt other potential LPs, I think it's fine if it actually does just become a thing on the channel for like, years and years to come.

i have very little experience with sonic games, but that's more than the zero experience i had with megaman games, so i'm hoping i can have some fun with this giant project! only ever played, let's see... sonic adventure dx, sonic heroes, sonic all-stars racing transformed, and one of the sonic advances. and i owned a cd with a bunch of old roms which included some of the early games on it, so i think i played zone 1 of those once or twice? that was way back as a tiny baby so i'm not sure. i am a young person. i remember getting stuck at the very start of the second act of that stage where the forest suddenly lights on fire, you know the one? no idea how i was meant to proceed from the first room.
