Pretty sure it's Disney, not Warner. Probably getting the scoop on an upcoming Fun Fact here though, so I'll save it. :rao:

You know, if there was more screen real estate to work with in this game, it might actually be a lot better. But alas, Game Gear.

rail canyon is a fun level, but i know a lot of people arent really fond of most of the level design being, y'know. rails in a canyon. it's probably a result of me being used to the game and knowing how to control it, of course, but hey, once you get the hang of the controls, it can be really fun to zip down the rails. everyone hates rail-swapping, though, it just sucks!!

anyway, hard to believe we're already at sonic heroes, huh

To be fair, it'll be a while until we reach the actual 200 acts. Like, we had a popcorn game and 7 spinballs.

Ring Count

Training Area - 0
Railcanyon Area - 0
Ruinwood Area - 0
Metal Island Area - 0
Darkcastle Area - 0

Total Rings collected in Tails' Skypatrol: 0

Also, my argument for not counting the ring Tails has in hand is that he's totally taking a ring out from the 17618 ring count stash :P

the reason why running into enemies and projectiles doesn't kill tails is because he always has one ring on him

"Railwitch" honestly would have been a better name than the one the villain of this game was actually given. "Witchcart" represents all the worst aspects of shoddy nomenclature; it's nothing more than two banal aspects of the character's design lazily smooshed together without any regard for euphony or even sounding remotely like a name. They could have called her something like Cartesia or Sycortrax or Baba Loco. They could have even called her Cartwright the Witch and it would have worked better than the blocky-yet-squishy "Witchcart". Hell, they could have just called her "the Cart Witch" and that would have been better than "Witchcart", as it's at least just simple literal description which isn't pretending to be a proper name despite having none of the qualities of such. Alas, I fear whoever was responsible for the story and character concepts in this game had clearly been neglecting their training, and thus this aspect of the project went completely off the rails.

Fun Tails Facts!

The April 1995 edition of Sega Video Magazine featured gameplay footage of a prototype version of Tails' Skypatrol. In the footage of the second stage boss, Tails is shown fighting the popular Disney cartoon villain Pete, rather than Bearenger. This suggests that the original version of the game used a Disney IP, such as Mickey Mouse.

In response to a comment on Twitter, observing that Tails' Skypatrol's villains look more like Disney characters than Sonic characters, programmer Alice Kagamino (Captain Alice) stated that they could not go into specifics, but that the enemy designs carry the same impression as the originals.

In the released version of the game, the boss characters Focke-Wulf and Witchcart bear a resemblance to the Disney villains "the Big Bad Wolf" and Mizrabel.

and so Tails arrested everyone for the crime of "existing as other characters in this game".
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Fun TAILS Facts!

"Far in the southern Pacific, there exists a tiny island that can't be found on any map. In ancient times, this island was part of a coral reef that was pulled to the surface by the power of the Chaos Emeralds. It's here on this beautiful oasis, Cocoa Island, that Tails resided prior to his first encounter with Sonic.

One day, while snoozing in the shade next to his jungle workshop, Tails is rudely awakened by a huge explosion from the island's interior. A frantic Flicky rushes out of the trees and explains to the stunned fox that the island has just been invaded by the BATTLE KUKKU EMPIRE, an army of belligerent bird warriors bent on world domination.

Great Battle Kukku the 15th has learned that the legendary Chaos Emeralds sleep on Cocoa Island, and he's launched a large-scale mining operation/invasion to unearth the mystic gems. If the Battle Kukku empire obtains the Emeralds, it will only be a matter of time before their wicked ambitions are realized.

At this, Tails abandons his repose and heads into his workshop to gear up for combat."
