You assume that that a GBA game would have a save feature, but I've encountered GBA games that use a password system, mostly licensed games but still.
Completely totally unrelated, but I remember a few years ago, 2017 I believe, there was a pokemon distribution, a Charizard holding a red card. The press release said that it was available at Target stores in Canada and the United States, the problem was that in 2017 there were no Target stores in Canada (and hadn't been for around two years). No major video game publication websites commented on this oddity, nor was a correction ever made. I wonder if it was a typo, or if there's a bunch of Charizard codes rotting in a depot somewhere waiting to be shipped off to Target Canada.
Depending on which store named Target the game was sold in, that means it was only available in one country. The U.S, assuming Target Corporation or, Australia, assuming the Wesfarmers subsidiary.Heavy Sigh wrote: Also for some reason Sega only ever sold this game in Target stores, of all places, ensuring nobody ever bought this game, since if your country lacked a Target, you could not buy this game.

the board morphing looks good, but i feel like all the time spent spriting it could have been spent drawing anything else at all
like maybe a third board, something people would actually care about

Re: Some Themed Lures, A Rod, And Not Much Else - "Sonic" Fishing - Take Me To The River
Oh fuck you GameFAQs GBA Video guide.
The save battery is somethin' extra that the manufacturer has to pay extra for each cartridge. This is why such infamously hard games such as Plok! didn't have saves (or passwords as well in that game's case because they wanted to prevent unearned level skipping with the aid of Nintendo Power. Mission accomplished?) For my part I still remember writing down the passwords for SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman (a pretty good puzzly platformer with long levels and Mega Man-ish item collection).Kleetus wrote: You assume that that a GBA game would have a save feature, but I've encountered GBA games that use a password system, mostly licensed games but still.

I'm so conflicted by the fact that there seems to be only one relevant way to score point, and it's to sent the ball into the Event Corner and doing the event

So, this has been probably discussed once in this 193-page thread, but
I was reading some article about Polish history, and I found out that "robotnik" is another way of saying "worker" in Polish
Dr. Robotnik is actually Dr. Worker
what if we have gotten this guy wrong all this time

turns out i have a copy of this in the house, and it is NOT relaxing
also, it has tiny chao garden with another new minigame that i'd never seen before--which seems to be the least efficient ring farm yet!
also some stuff in casinopolis to also farm for rings, which might even be worse? i don't know.

It is cool to see Silver finally return to the series after Sonic Mountain Quest

Re: All The S@nics - Pinball Party - Sonic Spinball NEVER Ends!
It's not quite clearing the entire board, NiGHTS board has a progression just like Sonic's does. Shorter though, Since NiGHTS only had seven levels and Sonic goes through all of the Advance 1 stages.
Including a Super Sonic stage with a secret unlock condition. NiGHTS has one of those too.
And now, NiGHTS lore. The reason you start with 1 ideya is because that's the red ideya of courage that the nightmare can't take away from you. In the game you'd run around as a human dreamer, get the other four taken away, then walk over to NiGHTS trapped in the Ideya palace, fuse (or dualise to use their term) with NiGHTS, then fly around as NiGHTS collecting enough chips to get the remaining Ideya. "Pian" is short for Nightopian, and they were basically the predecessor of Chao. They're those little angel guys hanging around the board. You'd walk around as the human to find them in the levels and take care of them, or have NiGHTS launch enemies into them to evolve them. The Wii game gave them a proper Chao garden type place.
Including a Super Sonic stage with a secret unlock condition. NiGHTS has one of those too.

raocow somehow manages to be full aggro even in pinball.
Also, while this might play better than Spinball, it is a whole lot less interesting. Guess that's why spinball ended here (until genereations?)

I'd argue that this is a better pinball game, but that Spinball is fundamentally more interesting and also feels like an actual (albeit slightly off) Sonic game, rather than a Sonic-themed pinball game.Piesonscreations wrote: ↑3 years ago raocow somehow manages to be full aggro even in pinball.

Re: All The S@nics - Pinball Party - Sonic Spinball NEVER Ends!
I'm a bit nervous for tonight's video.
When I was younger I was able to beat up through Amy. I never managed to beat Metal Sonic. Let's find out if rao is better than young me! (Probably, I've never been good at pinball)
My brother, same one I mentioned a long long time ago as being stupidly good at Sonic Spinball, was also stupidly good at this game and had 0 difficulties with it, so I know it is possible!

If I never see Eggman's "feature hole", it'll be too soon.

Frankly after that ordeal beating Eggman in a score attack probably will be easy by comparison. Though I do wonder if qualifying for the secret Zone makes you play it in the Metal Sonic round.

Fun Sonic Facts!
You see that space shuttle in the corner of the X-Zone themed pinball board? That's actually a reused beta design of the Egg Carrier from Sonic Adventure!
