If you have only heard the in-game version, you will be very surprised, because everything past 2:32 in this doesn't actually play in the game! It's exclusive to the soundtrack version. The part at 3:02 is just incredible.

The cutscenes and dialogue themselves are really hokey and not great, but I still get actual chills of excitement during some of the stuff in Gamma's story, just me actually saying aloud to myself 'thats so cool!!!'. Also shooting Sonic with rockets is always fun to watch.

Stuff needs to go somewhere, keeping auxiliary equipment in the ammunition stockpile isn't a bad idea. However, one of his previous bots clearly got as turned-around as raocow and delivered the weapon upgrade that belongs in the ammunition room to the opposite door where it promptly sank like a stone.

As Gamma sets out to kill all of his numbered siblings, the raocow Let's Play of Drakengard 3 finally begins.

There's something I always like about games that are about hunting down a series of bosses, like that or No More Heroes or Shadow of the Colossus. So this is one of the things that I love about the structure of Gamma Adventure, even though the bosses aren't really big events after all.

Gamma never explicitly learns that his brothers contain animals, does he? Maybe it's knowledge he's preprogrammed with, or maybe he assumed they would since the other badniks do. But weirdly Zero doesn't? It's more likely to be an oversight than an intentional decision, but it would've been the perfect story beat to have Zero contain one of Flicky's parents. Maybe the lack of an organic processor explains Zero's lack of personality. Or maybe it did contain an animal and Amy blew it up by accident. Which would be funnier.

There's something kinda fascinatingly morbid to me about how Gamma is hunting down his brothers now. I always figured he was saving them by rescuing the animals even without the intro screen, but he's still killing essentially sentient beings on the same level has himself(if we assume at least most of his personality is indeed machinery and programming), putting them out of their misery so to say, for the greater good, while saying he's rescuing them.

I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm overthinking "former bad guy blows up other bad guys in a sonic game" but I guess Gamma and his strange approach to the (figurative and literal?) chaos of the story puts me in a mild thinking mood.
