Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power
Eggman just dislikes monkeys and puts them in cages for fun.

Honestly, now it's been put that way, it seems pretty plausible

Finally, I can get off the Chaos 4 train.
It's been a wild ride I tell you.

In case you were wondering: you can walk on the water in the Chaos fight because it turns into greenish goop when Chaos falls into it at the beginning:

this might be one of the only episodes where raocow didn't get lost though

Would Knuckles be unable to feel were it not for the great emerald's power?

Having played Sonic Adventure 2 but not 1, I really think that game could've used the more granular item det3ctor that this game had. That probably would've helped a lot of the levels.

Yeah that's pretty much the general consensus, especially with how big the stages get in 2

Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power
It feels like they decided the treasure hunts in SA1 were over too quickly, without realizing they're fundamentally not that fun, so it's better for them to be over quickly.
Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power
I honestly liked the treasure hunting levels in SA2, although it's been years since I've played that game. I just remember enjoying running around these huge spaces looking for stuff.
Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power
Same, Sonic levels usually look pretty nice but they're over in a flash. Letting Knuckles take some time to slow down and look for stuff isn't a bad idea. I like the levels in 2 better, but the radar is nowhere near as good as the one in 1.

Agreed about the radar, but I'll also thorw out there that I like the hint system in 2 way more than just "this way". Overall, I think I found SA2 to be the more enjoyable knuckles experience.

Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power
Yeah i will agree the levels are more interesting in 2 but that comes with caveats;
1. There are 9, not 5
2. Two of them are overly similar to another two (each first stage, egg quarters/death chamber)
3. Two have annoying/unnecessary gimmicks (time limit, mad space)
4. This is all the side effect of them adding a knuckles clone tho
5. But yeah the radar change is dumb
