The music from the Sonic clone fight in Sonic the Fighters sounds like an inspiration for Patchouli's theme from Touhou.
I'm not sure how i feel about Sonic sitting around watching his best friend build a rocket and then beating him up so he can take it into space instead.

Fun Sonic Facts!
A large majority of the quality images in Sonic the Screensaver are actually from a Japanese Sega magazine, Harmony (an ironic name, considering its release schedule was basically 'whenever management feels like it'), released only to Sega employees in the 90s and was essentially just a newsletter, but cooler.

Aw yeah, now the this the type of quality Sonic game (?) I've been waiting for! Seriously though, I don't really have anything to say about this, but when talking about Sonic the Fighters I totally forgot to say anything about the Death Egg II, which despite how blatantly obvious it is, it still took me far too long to realize that the Death Egg is clearly a reference to the Death Star from Star Wars.

I wonder who they got to do the animation for the screensaver? Some of it was looking really reminiscent of the OVA interpretations of the characters. (though I admit it's been a while since I've seen the OVA)

To me at least, the "sprites" in the screensavers look like really decent cel-shaded 3d graphics from, like, now, or at the very least a decade later. Which doesn't seem possible for win95, even for prerendered images. Maybe there's something spooky going on. Maybe my eyes are dumb.

ahhhhhhhhhhh memoriesssss
That was the default loop, yeah, but you can even CUSTOMIZE it with MORE SONIC IMAGES and MUSIC and WHATEVER TRANSITIONS YOU WANT. I think you can even use images and music just from, like, your computer! It's so cool. This was my screensaver for a long time and sometimes, as a dumb kid may do, I just sat and watched it.
The only thing you "missed" was that Tails's buffer malfunctions sometimes, like how Robotnik's marker did.

It seems insane to me that artists would take time off from development to just make a cool magazine that only staff would see lolHeavy Sigh wrote: ↑4 years ago Fun Sonic Facts!

Also, what's next, raocow let's plays Sonic in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade??

I promise that, like All The GHZs, my list of All The Egg Hammer-type Thingies is leading up to something! Not something big, mind you, but it certainly is both a thing, and a some.

In all seriousness, raocow--I think you should do a full run on Sonic's Schoolhouse. If the endless tedium of Knuckles Chaotix deserves a full playthrough, so does this delightful collection of ever-fresh nightmares. What is All The Sonics about if not documenting all the weird oddities the series has given us over the years? And let's be honest, our T's don't get much weirder than this, hopping up and down while staring at us blankly with their two beady eyes.

The Saturn version has a different OST.
There's... Something in it that I'll get into once it eventually comes up.

To answer the question as to wither or not the game's controls come through in the video; while watching this, I was afraid that I would fall out of my chair and begin sliding around on the floor like a rogue curling stone, as friction stops existing.

Re: All The S@nics - 3D Blast - Fuzzy And Blue
I continue to find something deeply, viscerally repulsive about Flickies. I don't know whether it's their uncanny, baby-doll-like proportions in general, or specifically their resemblance to Tweety Bird, Fuckrat Extraordinare, but something about them summons up in me an overwhelming urge to get as far away from them as quickly is possible. A game based around maximizing their numbers and having a platoon of them follow you aroundwhenever possible sounds like something of a nightmare scenario for me.
In any event, I can't help but think that life as a cool crab robot is infinitely preferable to a benighted existence as some sort of grotesque, corn-headed bird-bogey. Clearly Sonic is the true villain for denying the Flickies their one chance to escape this most lamentable of life-lots.
