Fun Sonic Facts!
The Sega Pico, known in Japan as the Kids Computer Pico (キッズコンピューター・ピコ) and later the Kids Communication Pico (キッズコミュニケーション・ピコ), was a an odd hybrid between a Mega Drive, a graphics tablet and an electronic book reader. It was aimed at young children between the ages of 2 and 8 yet only given two Sonic related games, one of which didn't even star Sonic.
The Pico was Sega's first """educational""" console and peripheral testing ground, running in parallel with more traditional games consoles aimed at the mass market. Debuting in mid-1993, the Pico was supported in Japan until 2005 when its successor, the 'Advanced Pico Beena' was released. Though relatively obscure in the eyes of the majority, the Pico was still one of the most successful devices of its kind, as the first educational console to ship globally and the primary inspiration for similar devices from manufacturers like LeapFrog or VTech which emerged in the years that followed.

Man, I know this is coming from the person who suggested the Red-bull X Megaman flash game a while back. But these tertiary Sega endorsed Sonic products are snooze fests.
So regarding Sonic the Hedgehog's Gameworld, there was an English version of this game released in November 1996, (The japanese version was released in August 1994) The english rom of it doesn't seem hard to find either. Not sure why raocow decided to clown around in the Japanese version.
~Unless he's going for that fighting game mix-up where he plays this game a second time when he gets to the 1996 years~
That'd be super gross though.
Props to the folks who worked on making an emulator for it, but is there anything worth a glance at on the Sega Pico?

as for why I played the japanese version: an honest mistake on my end
so like I downloaded a full romset of the pico library, right. And I looked through it and I sincerely believed that there were just japanese versions of this game, standard and revision 1.
But I went back to check right now and indeed there's an english version in there. I don't know how I missed it, but I did. That's all on me :(

Re: A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts - Draft Punk - Tournament Edition
FIFA 14 (2013) was the last fifa game released on PS2. Still, quite a lengthy run. That being said, i'm certain there are bootleg mods selling versions with the new rosters to this day.
Flicky ain't got a clicky, uh.
Man, i'm utterly impressed this game and other pico stuff is able to be emulated. Peeps really work hard on this stuff.
Game seemed interesting, but kinda tough for 8 year olds?? Also, gambling!!

Re: All the S@nics - Gameworld - Quite A Few Sanics, Actually
It's funny how the person who made the emulator actually took a blurry digital camera photo of the pico's touchpad for you to squiggle around on instead of just like making a quick yellow background with dots in Paint or something

Fun Sonic Facts!
Although the levels of Game Gear Sonic Spinball carry the same themes as the 16-bit game, the different layouts of the levels contain several more opportunities to travel on foot. Also, there are hidden rooms which hide monitors which, when broken, will display a cheat code to be accessed through the Sound Test.
The Cheats are as follows:
Display version number
Play sound effects 0, 5, 0, 3, 6, 0. This will cause the build version number to scroll along at the top of the screen.
Negative colors
Play sound effects 0, 2, 2, 7, 6, 9. This will invert the colours for the whole game.
Negative colors and faster music
Play sound effects 0, 9, 1, 2, 5, 4. This will invert the colours for the whole game, and increase the tempo of the music.
Reverse colors
Play sound effects 0, 8, 0, 7, 7, 1.
Sonic-zilla
Play sound effects 0, 2, 1, 1, 6, 6. This will cause Sonic (and other sprites) to double in size (though the collisions remain the same).
Debug mode
Play sound effects 0, 9, 0, 1, 6, 8. You can then pause and hold 1 to move Sonic anywhere.
Level skip
Play sound effects 0, 2, 1, 5, 6, 6. You can then pause and press Down while playing the game to go to the next level.
Start with 9 lives
Play sound effects 0, 3, 1, 1, 5, 5.
High gravity
Play sound effects 0, 3, 1, 9, 6, 8. Gravity will be set to 2.
Medium gravity
Play sound effects 1, 0, 1, 3, 6, 7. Gravity will be set to 1.
Low gravity
Play sound effects 0, 4, 1, 9, 6, 4. Gravity will be set to 1/2.
Super low gravity
Play sound effects 0, 8, 2, 7, 6, 6. Gravity will be set to 1/4.
Slow motion
Play sound effects 0, 4, 2, 9, 6, 4. Game runs at half speed.
Super slow motion
Play sound effects 0, 5, 1, 3, 7, 0. Game runs at quarter speed.

I hate the fact that this game is probably different enough to get a full playthrough but not meme beam machime.
How dare Sega actually try to make a new handheld experience instead of just porting the Genesis version.

I feel like, to truly appreciate this game, you have to play the Game Gear version. Imagine how much more fun not being able to figure out where to go is when you also can't see anything around you.
