raocow, you should know something about that first bonus area:
There's more in it besides the "4 switches" area, including something pretty important.

You mean there's more than the few lives and the fireflower too?
Is there a P-switch door somewhere or something?

Looks pretty neat so far, definitely better than MKM. Although I can't really see how this relates to Super Mario Omega, apart from also looking cool.

Probably the day after tomorrow as raocow said he would look at it in tomorrows recording so the video is up one day later.

I don't know but ... it certainly was strange to change so many sprites just for the opening.
So it is possible i guess.
But it's also possible that Cypher just did the opening first.

Hey raocow, could you disable the New GFX Engine in zSnes by pressing the 8 key? It causes some small graphical garbage in Super Mario World, very visable in today's video as a light blue line on the bottom of the screen once you're in the castle level.

Haha, tomorrow's level is Touch Fuzzy...Die. I wonder if the actual fuzzies from Yoshi's Island will be there, or if it just means the black fuzzie guys. Either way, I love the reference.

So, uh, what was stopping you from just using the Yoshi + blue shell combo to fly across the area where you need all 4 switches to cross?

you have a once-block space wide to cross, which can't happen with yoshi. And unlike some people, I don't want to use the 'fly under walls when you're obviously not meant to' trick.

Two things:

1) I moderated this, and it gets pretty tough later on, but I suppose you're ready for that after Hyper V.

2) Too bad you didn't wait, like, two more days, 'cause SMWCP just came out. Ah well.
Actually, I do remember you saying something about liking to wait a bit after release, since bugs are always found. Yeah.

watching these videos after playing a lot of Donkey Kong Country Returns is weird

I keep thinking "WHY AREN'T YOU JETPACKING" "SLAM THAT" "WHY IS THIS ALCOVE NOT REVEALING STUFF WHEN YOU GO INTO IT????" "WHY ARE YOU NOT FALLING LIKE A ROCK????????"
