Well, it's not like Raocow didn't warn himself about this during the first screen of 1-C. Though even I wasn't expecting a screen THIS hard. After this, Raocow will be ready for Kaizo hacks finally. :D

The bounce off the heart was just heart-wrenching to see.

And hooray the sideways dash saved the day!

Nice. Take a nice long break from Celeste's C-sides. I guess you're back after this weekend where you're at a convention (forgot the name, was it EVO)?

I like to think he does, even though he probably doesn't.

Though next year we should totally try and pool our money to pay for him to actually go down there

Welp, Raocow confirmed dead. The impostor from today forgot that Raocow would never enjoy a wind level.

Not only wind, but C-side wind.

I blame SonicFox
I'm an idiot who likes vidya games.
And also maybe makes bad decisions based on those vidya games.

In the last room, I found a fairly repeatable way to make the first series of jumps without having to do that awkward horizontal dash onto the low clearance pink cloud. You actually do it at 6:14 without even noticing. Hugging the wall and pushing right will always put you onto the pink cloud with enough room and time to recharge your dash and jump again. But until i figured that out I was doing it the same way you did and hey, your method worked out in the end! Nice job on the final jumps and last-second save on the heart, I definitely ended up dying on those a few times before getting my prize.

*doing that bit in a weird & awkward way when there are several easier, more consistent ways of doing it* this feels like real garbage

:P

i've said it before and i'll say it again, if something feels really janky or awkward and isn't something like oshiro jumps or snowball jumps etc. there's almost always gonna be a better & cleaner way of doing it that doesn't feel like garbage

The best thing I can think of to explain what happened in the episode, raocow clipped the corner of the block, landing on solid ground to refresh his dash.

Looking frame by frame, he gets the dash back right next to the block.

Celeste uses old BlockTool. Who would've thought?

Also, yes, you are supposed to boost jump in that third room. I'll save you the trouble, because that room looks like pain.

I'm guessing what you were meant to do in that first room is dash wall jump on the two-spike platform, quickly wall jump off the 3-spike one grabbing the gem, and that would put you underneath the second two-spike platform with a dash letting you repeat the process. It had the same set up repeated three times after all so I imagine they expect you to do the same thing 3 times.

Every touchable wall has been there for a purpose so far in C-side and I can't imagine it being any different here.

I looked up a video on how to do 5C, here's the relevant clip for how you're actually supposed to do the first room:

raocow did an extremely illegal move

I might've blocked out 3C (though I do remember it being "a thing" for me), but 5C was my least favorite level. It's Wall Boost hell and as you saw in room 3 it's just packed with wall boosts that you just have no time to line yourself up for. That's why it's my least favorite move, the game asks some really rude stuff out of you to pull it off

Wow, raocow is sure lucky he clipped that one corner, otherwise he never would have figured out the intended way to do that first room.

I'm not even sure how he clipped that corner without hitting the spikes first.

Also, it looks like Theo and those monsters don't even appear in the C-side. Huh.

I wonder if Badeline will appear in the next level.

The first room of 5C is imo the technically hardest in the game

Not like the hardest to clear period but it's incredibly demanding and precise to do the intended way, very little room for error at any point

Also the video above shows an interesting thing, in that the last room of this C-side had some parts modified after the game originally came out.

I'm... not actually sure why the changes were made though.
