Also raocow, the healthbar isn't tied to the fact that you beat halloween. It's because you have the Lilith's Gift badge equipped.

tomorrow should be interesting
the first boss in the game that felt completely overwhelmingly hard but that's because i was still stubbornly not using food items ever
uhh, that changed in the postgame at some point

Do you need to actually go home and change to properly complete the Halloween dlc? Or does that quest marker just stay there?

you absolutely need to change to technically complete the DLC, yep
the achievement pops when you do

What a fortuitous combination of events thread-title-wise.

Kilgamayan wrote: 5 years ago Lilith's Gift is actually a 0-cost badge with no downside; there's no reason to not equip it even though it's not particularly useful. You do, however, have a third outfit back at home now. You have to actually put that outfit on to formally/officially clear the Halloween event, but you can then immediately change back to your current outfit.

man that bunny clover makes a world of difference
i've never even seen half the attacks in this fight because my strategy was to blitz it and i ended up dropping her in the chaos house phase right before the boss summons phase (which i never ever got past)

Bunny clover heals 30% less if it's used to automatically save your life. It's absolutely better to use healing items manually.

Though it does have one advantage. raocow tried manually using healing items in the past and kept getting knocked out of the animation. The bunny clover doesn't have that side effect.

yeah with the bunny clover you barely have to pay attention to your health or worry about healing, the game does it for you (until you run out of food and die)

if it makes you feel any better i'm pretty sure this is the last time the game remix remixes itself unless the second half of the paid dlc is a remix zone too, i haven't played it quite yet

so what's the point of the boss rush mode?

Random order and in their original environments, ranked scoreboard etc.

I had completely forgotten that emoticon miniboss existed. Makes me regret using Endymion already!

Curious the emoticon boss was even represented, as there were other mini bosses. Though not every main boss was in this boss rush. I don't recall seeing Keke Bunny there, but I think she was the game's only optional boss (that doesn't unlock other game content).

yeah keke bunny/plurkwood in general are all optional, you actually need 22 town members to start the last main postgame chapter & the only town member up to that point that isn't required is her
the emotiocon boss i don't think shows up anywhere else in the game? i don't remember it being anywhere else at least lol, it sure is "an event"

nobody cares about your plot, rabi ribi

at the very least, i don't lol. the writing in this game is unchangingly unnecessarily verbose

I dunno, I mostly enjoyed the plot for what it is. It's not Shakespearean writing, certainly, but think it's much more enjoyable and intriguing than it needed to be given the point of Rabi Ribi is "play Super Metroid with titties and kemonomimi everywhere".

The buff is called 99 reflect because if you do over 99 points of damage in one hit, the damage is reflected back at you. Meaning you can still attack during it but have to make sure they're weaker attacks. The hammer is the easiest way to do too much in a single hit and be punished for it.

Someone in yesterday's YouTube comments did, yeah.

Anyway, I completely lost my shit at the Gravitron when I first got there. Was not expecting it at all. It made for a wonderful cap to a very fun segment.

yeah this section is pretty cool
so uhh, this is maybe light spoilers but for the sake of one's sanity;
1. before you start the next main leg of the game (which will happen tomorrow) make sure you go and look for the last food item you're missing; won't point directly to where it's at but you find it on the map rather than purchase it and it's incredibly useful to have
2. (maybe not relevant for tomorrow but in like a day or two after at most) the next area has no saves and no warps, but i do not recommend doing the entire thing in one video, when you get to the autosave before the boss it's a good time to stop for the day (you'll know when)
i leave these two here both for the sake of your sanity and ours :P

I don't think fishing for the last item is necessary, but being on top of your amulet game is going to be a hard requirement for the next portion.

As for the DLC, I own none of it, so I have no idea what it is like except it's supposedly even harder than that...

Those healing spots taking forever to heal is such a stupid decision.

I'm not sure if I would consider the final dlc boss to be harder than the final post game boss.
