for my money the red magic is the best one just in general, it does great damage by itself and the boost also does great damage PLUS increases erina's attack damage

high DPS builds tend to be my preference in general though :V

only real downside is that the charge has a maximum range it can travel but it's like, 75% of the screen or something so w/e

You should be good to go for the Halloween DLC now. You can go do that, or hunt down Kotri, or go after the infinity volcano tunnel, or just explore for powerups some more. Whatever you wanna do. (There's also actually one teleporter location that you're currently missing in terms of what you can reach now; you could go look for that as well if you wanted.)

Red magic does really high dps if you repeatedly launch the charged shot.

especially with the ribbon badge. Then it's crazy good.

Huh, I don't know why I thought you needed Red Magic to destroy those magic blocks. Weird.

Yeah, also the game told him he could do the Halloween DLC way before he got the red magic, would be kinda mean if he couldn't. :P (The blocks were red, maybe that's why you thought as such)

Tomorrow's video is gonna be good, I hope raocow

chooses the more intense option. ^_^

At 12:04 I think I saw that an area you can slide into from the very last two pink blocks.

Since it pained me to see you redo the whole thing multiple times after missing the springboard jump :
You can instantly reload to the last autosave by pressing Select+Boost while on the menu (not sure what controller you're using but the buttons you need to press are mentioned in one of the menu pages)

yeah not a fan of the blind drops throughout a lot of that platforming section, though really any time this game attempts platforming it goes poorly so whatever i guess

the upcoming boss fight is... okay

Love that fight. Very clever, very cute, fairer than it looks without being anything close to easy. For the record, in your second run there, there were invisible blocks because some of the blocks that fell from the sky hadn't been cleared out by any bombs.

Lilith's Gift is actually a 0-cost badge with no downside; there's no reason to not equip it even though it's not particularly useful. You do, however, have a third outfit back at home now. You have to actually put that outfit on to formally/officially clear the Halloween event, but you can then immediately change back to your current outfit.

And thus raocow somehow doesn't notice his charge shots were clearing away bullets and runs in to facetank. :P He did well tho, I'm really glad he started using the amulet more too, getting into the habit of that will make the other DLC bosses a bit easier.

I'm surprised the wasn't more of a reaction to the 36+ life bars the kitties had, or that they were both over level 230, more than twice of Noah, I think.

Nice dual (and sometimes triple) boss. Makes it stand out since everything has been 1vs1, so far.

Damn the way you died at the first run was heartbreaking, I thought you still had food left. (and yes, you were supposed to use charge shots to erase bullets at the end)
Also worth mentioning that the Halloween DLC was free, unlike the "is the order a rabbit" DLC that we haven't seen yet.

some phases of this battle are kinda cool (the one platformy bit most notably) but it has the same problem that a lot of the postgame/dlc bosses have in that everything takes tooooo daaaaamn loooong to fight
a lot of this boss also felt really spammy to me, really
also yeah any time they get rid of the HUD is pretty stupid imo

It adds like 0.1 or something like that to the item% after you get the badge, which raises the level of the bosses. Also the healthbars are different with the badge and not everyone likes them. So there are at least 2 reasons against it. :P

But raocow already has the badge so that's kinda a moot point, isn't it?

Badges don't contribute to boss level if they're not equipped.

Ah, alright. I thought it was simply collecting them that did that.

Yeah, you almost maxed out thanks to that area.

Does anyone know why there was a single square of today's area already filled in, that was way out there? If Erina was teleported there randomly earlier, I've completely forgotten.

What does the RED boost do and look like?

That just appears once the quest is available, I guess to just give a sense of how big the area will be, or could just be a bug. It appeared for me too.

also when is someone gonna yell at raocow for not doing the third kotri fight even after he's been shown in the credits exactly where it is? it's a maingame boss and not a postgame type experience and the postgame is gonna force you to do it at some point anyways so might as well get it done before you get too deep into deep things :P
