Lol, I think

Northernlion landed on the Start Over square twice in the same attempt at one point in his playthrough

. Poor sap, nice to see that improved.

This is one of my two favorite boss fights in the game, both for the music and for the fight itself. I was very much looking forward to raocow's reaction to the final stage and was not disappointed.

In World War 1, a colloquial term for German soldiers was "Gerries" - or, "Jerries." This, plus the obvious classic cartoon being alluded to here, is why the titular Werner Werman is a German WW1 soldier with helmet to match. And "Murine Corps" is a pun on "Marine Corps."

I think the description for the boomerang weapon is that it's stronger on the rebound. As for the Sawblade super, I thing if you dodge out of the way, the super will persist longer, until it makes contact with you.

Both true! If you've ever played loads of ninja gaiden and learned to abuse the boomerang shuriken, its super is really OP! 3-way remains the best weapon owing to its damage tho

Also, be sure to say Werner's full name in the most stereotypical German accent possible.

There were ghost mice because you didn't know it was a robot yet! Kind of like how cartoon characters can walk right off a cliff and not fall until they realize they should be.

This was probably my favorite boss, just for the amount of character in the fight. The cat was a really good "holy shit" moment, the music's pretty good (I mean all the music in this game is good) and it's not too tough as a boss.

Now that you have more coins, I'd like you to buy charge and try it on for size. See if you like it.

You saw all of the boat's attacks. A fun parry opportunity is the boat's enormous BLAAAAAAAAAARGH beam. It's pink, and you can repeatedly parry-bounce on it!

Probably the most popular character in the game today, and it should be pretty obvious why.

I definitely struggled a lot more than raocow at Cala Maria, and looking at it now I'm not even sure why exactly, it doesn't LOOK hard at all from watching his playthrough.

The last 2 bosses in world 3 that raocow hasn't gotten to yet are the hardest ones yet though, imo. They're also my 2 favorite bosses in the game because of how crazy and interesting their attack patterns are.

Interesting, looks like some update added more parryable projectiles during the mermaid boss (namely the fish flames and the eel missiles). At first, S-ranking it was legitimately RNG-dependent just because of how few parryable objects there were

If the penultimate boss goes well for you, you should probably do the final one in the same recording session, even if you want to split it into two different videos.

In the intro, it says that cupman "ended up on the wrong side of the tracks and entered the devil's casino", and the last level before casino zone is the train level.

raocow things: having more trouble with the general consensus "easy" bosses in world 3 than any of the harder ones
i dunno that's just hilarious. i've never played the game myself though so i dunno maybe they are just easier but sally stageplay at least did not look hard at all

People are down on chaser for its low damage output, myself included, but as raocow's showing the homing aspect taking off a lot of pressure and ensuring all your shots will hit will definitely outweigh the damage you'd have with something you have to aim

I suggest you handle King Dice like you would a Bowser's Castle for Maximum LP Enjoyableness (also because doing it all counts for completion). If you dont know what I mean you will tomorrow.

Also maybe do some cleanup to find the last coins and spend em all before you take him on? Your LP i guess.

I think raocow has all the coins unless there's one left from talking to certain NPCs. Most of the World 3 NPCs are just

aesthetic rewards for various challenges.

I think the train boss was a lot harder for me at first because I neglected to really give the boomerang gun a fair try, and instead I was convinced the spread gun was the most efficient way to go for the first couple phases... but that made it harder to deal with the pumpkins that would always move your cart if you left them alone for too long.

The robot boss though... I'm just baffled at how easy raocow made that look. For me it had taken a bit of practice before I was even able to beat the first phase somewhat consistently... I was not able to weave through those bottom projectiles so easily like raocow was. Instead, I thought of that attack as like a horizontal screen-covering attack that would most definitely hit you if you weren't down there shooting at them as they came out... and combined with how the middle part would shoot out a vertical screen-covering attack that you need to parry at some point, and the top part aiming directly wherever you are... I was like wow this is a LOT of stuff to consider while you're taking out each of the 3 parts, so easy to get cornered if you aren't paying attention to all 3 of its attacks... and while the attacks that replace each part as they get destroyed aren't quite as bad, I still found it really easy to get cornered by all that stuff while trying to shoot the heart.

Even on my winning run I was only ever able to get to the bullet hell part with 2 hits left, usually I'd have 1 left by then and wouldn't make it, and it took me quite a few tries of getting there with 2 hits left until I finally managed to beat it... and I needed to shrink a lot to dodge stuff and I still had a harder time dodging it than raocow did without even using his shrink power. seriously wtf I almost want to think like raocow must be playing an easier version of the game or something, I can't believe I'm such a pleb at this game lmao.

it's a great boss battle though, it was the kind of challenge that I enjoyed a lot despite dying so much.
