Well, the first shooter that comes to my mind for an LP would be Hydorah. Though that is probably best LP'd NOT blind, as it's a hard game, and has limited saves as a game feature.

Slowbeef has played it. A LOT.

honestly so far this game does not look very difficult, at least on normal, so i'm just gonna assume the difficulty is only hyped up because normie gamers aren't used to any degree of challenge in their games nowadays
i've honestly never played a video game in my life

raocow's making it look pretty easy, and for my money I found the shmup bosses were extremely hard. Wally was definitely an easier one but they get much worse.

Also, fun fact: The smoke bomb does in fact do something when you're in the plane! you get a little smoke cloud when you turn into tiny plane for a second and that gives you a bit of invuln.

raocow is simply very good at this game. He's pulling off some damn fine dodging on a regular basis.

raocow is uncannily good, I consider myself pretty good at run-and-guns and platformers (100%ed and all achievements on Copy Kitty!) and he is breezing through these bosses at an alarming pace compared to my own experiences with it just two weeks ago

The charms DO actually work in the plane, they're just a little different. The only ones I know about are smoke bomb and parry sugar; as strongbadman said, shrinking with the smoke bomb gives you a little bit of invulnerability. The parry sugar doubles your parry window, instead of an auto-parry.

I'm fairly sure the Steam version (Super Hydorah) doesn't have the limited saves "feature."

It's also a very good game.

Yeah, pretty much. The boss attacks are very well telegraphed, the boss fights don't last long (2 minutes or so for a boss fight), and you have plenty of health and an OP smoke dash to tank a few mistakes. That's not to say the game is easy -- raocow is extremely good at video games after all -- but it's not as hard as people make it out to be. The real difficulty comes from getting the A+ or S ranks.

Pretty much. It's not much harder than a lot of SNES games. It's got a really nice difficulty curve and demands you have achieved some level of mastery over all of its mechanics by the endgame. It's about as hard as Megaman X1 buster only, honestly.

A-am I just really bad at this game, or is raocow just really good. Or maybe a little of both.. I had if I remember correctly, something more than 200. Then again I commited suicide a lot to regain all my health back if I screwed up in the early phases

raocow is ridiculously good. I was going for P-ranks on the Run'n'Guns, and regularly hit retry, but I was at around 100. Both Hilda and Cagney gave me a fair bit of grief.

You know everytime you enbed a Twitch video, it always says 'offline'

That background in the Genie level reminded me of similar stunt they pulled in 'Popeye vs. Sindbad' (<-not a typo), when Popeye was going through a cave system. I have that on VHS!

For some reason, the forums' auto-embed thingy for twitch doesn't seem to play nice with twitch clips :/

Wow that's... Pretty blatantly an anti-semetic caricature. That's a weird thing to homage.

Specifically Monroe Silver, apparently. Though I haven't yet found a definitive source confirming this.

That was not a good decade for the Jews. Not even in the US.

I dunno, because unlike Megaman, there aren't Wily stages to show off everything, eventually. I'm getting quiet bored of the basic shooter weapon.

The chaser weapon you have may have been better for the dragon boss (so you don't have to duck if you're on a high cloud), as would have the weapon that shoot backwards (too bad you didn't buy it).
If your super weapon is too dangerous to use in the scrolling stage, why not use your regular hadokens?

This is waaaay too early to tell you, rao, I think, but I'll remind you when we get close.

If the penultimate boss goes well for you, you should probably do the final one in the same recording session, even if you want to split it into two different videos.
