Re: Wario Land 2 - New Mexico
Not to defend Sebby, because that was not a good original post, but I feel like at least 80% of the challenge in this game is rooted in collecting as many coins as you can? It's literally impossible to fail, so the only questions are how many coins you get and whether or not you find the treasure (as well as whether or not you correctly identify a number, which only comes after a stage is cleared). So, sure, coin collection isn't the most interesting thing, but there's zero suspense to any of the platforming since it's all "keep trying until you get it right" with no non-coin punishments for failure.

I'm surprised you forgot how to deal with those spiky purple guys, since you were succesful before. Just duck, as their bellies are soft.
I never understood the purpose of this underground train. Up until now, I've always interpreted this chapter as taking place in a unfinished part of Wario's cellar, which eventually leads into a natural cave, as this place is looking less and less like a cellar. Similar to what raocow thought when going through the caves below Castlevania.
And then this train in the middle comes along and I'm like 'what?' Is this a train system Wario put in as a way to get into the main land? Or did the pirates make this as a Plan B to steal and transport Wario's loot? I DON'T KNOW!
It kinda bothers me this whole chapter is called the cellar, when it's clear anything but, this far in.

Man, I know the audience loves screaming at the screen when raocow misses something, but it's weird seeing him do that to himself.

"raocow, what are you doing? Video games are too hard!"
I still believe in you. Keep up the good work!

The spiky dude aside, I'll give you props for getting the hard mode version of the treasure game done right on the first try.
Re: Wario Land 2 - North Dakota
I feel like Wario should have come in through the exit door in this level, so I guess he made a wrong turn somewhere and realized it just a bit too late, so he had to find a way back up there.

Re: Wario Land 2 - North Dakota
Hey raocow, you missed out on a entire maze in the 2nd room.
But yeah, that one secret at the bottom of the first room is a lot of trouble, since the zombie can't help but throw his head every few steps, no matter where you are. You CAN destroy them in WL3, but they move at the speed of light there.
Today's boss reminded me of that bullfight boss in WL1.
Since you have now beaten Chapter 2(c), technically you locked yourself out of Chapter 3(b), if you were on a 1st playthrough of the game. It's your choice, but I would pick one of the Chapter 5s to play next.

But...it doesn't make sense for him not to do the chapter 3 next considering difficulties and stuff like that. He already beat the game; it's not like he's locked into a specific playpath at this point.

That spiked turtle guy that boar dude was not.
Re: Wario Land 2 - Ohio
I remember seeing a couple comments that said the path unlocked in today's video is meant to be played last? I haven't played the game myself so I don't know if it's true but the secret exit taking up the whole video might have been a good thing.

Re: Wario Land 2 - Colorado
The thing with cutscenes is that they are attached to the beginning of levels. Because of this, the scene at 3-1(a) does not change to reflect Wario just came out of a cave, so the exit has the same tileset from the S.S. Teacup. But anyways...
Story time, with Wario Land 2!
The secret exit in 4-5 I believe is the hardest one to find.
Story time, with Wario Land 2!
Previously on Wario Land II...
Wario finds a way around the Giant Snake gaurding his cellar. By not wasting time fighting the reptile, Wario reaches where his treasure horde used to be much sooner than the pirates anticipate. With Wario hot on thier tale, the theiving Gooms have to change course and come up with a quick Plan B: jump into that nearby hole! Wario follows suit, falling into the furthest depths of his cellar. Which is actually a sprawling cave system that Wario never finished modeling.
The U.S.A. has 6 territories, right (inluding D.C)?And now...
Finally leaving his 'cellar', Wario look out onto the open sky from the cave's exit. he learns the pirates have made another getaway, via balloon this time. They land in the Maze Woods (located on the mainland). The captian of the Black Sugar Pirates, Captain Syrup, finally reveals herself, and joins the escape party.
Give chase, Wario! But can he find his way out of the Maze Woods?
The secret exit in 4-5 I believe is the hardest one to find.

Uh, no. No it's not. 4-4's is the hardest. Trust me. 4-5's is nowhere NEAR as hard.
I think Sebby's logic is "You should play through the paths as if you didn't unlock the map screen already!" considering he had pointed out that you can't take the 2-4 secret exit if you take the second alternate chapter 2 on your first playthroughFPzero wrote: But...it doesn't make sense for him not to do the chapter 3 next considering difficulties and stuff like that. which is really really really silly. the map screen's unlocked! let raocow play how HE wants to play XD

Would've been Maine, actually.
I opted for Puerto Rico as a reminder that they are still in bad shape after last year's hurricane season.

I'm not sure why pointing out how the pathing is structured (which is how raocow took it) is such a coercive and rude thing. if he didn't want to move on to chapter 5 ... he wouldn't have
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.
