To be fair, I was a couple episodes behind again thanks to life, but yeah. The Maze Woods are a place. Owl Control is the best phrase to come from this series so far!

"Story Time! With Wario Land II"
Previously on Wario Land II...
After Wario's rematch with Bobo (and winning again), he learns the pirates have made another getaway, via balloon this time. They land in the Maze Woods (located on the mainland). The captian of the Black Sugar Pirates, Captain Syrup, finally reveals herself, and joins the escape party.
Give chase, Wario! But can he find his way out of the Maze Woods?
And now...
Escaping the Maze Woods, Captian Syrup and her Gooms head into the city. There are lots of places to hide there. Be vigilant and thorough, Wario! Continue the hunt in the big City!
Man raocow, you gave up too easily on finding that treasure. You only finished the level with 150 coins. You didn't explore the level nearly enough.

I had to look at a map to even remember where it was. For a short stage, it's pretty well hidden.

i mean there was that one obvious spot with coins above the screen which to me signified something was up there

and raocow did not try in the slightest to get to the middle platform of the pre-boss room either

He's doing three series at once, so it's totally understandable when you think about it like that.

Yeah, true. To be honest, I lost interest in the MegaMans and forgot those were a thing. But even if we were only playing 2 games a day, he is still doing alot. I just wish he could pick up the pace just a little bit.

I find the one-level-per-day quite nice, myself. I've been watching them as one of the first things I do when I wake up in the morning lately, and they're cheerful, short, and fun.

I'm sure there will be vids with more than one level in the future, when raocow has to go back to grab treasures and other things he's missed.

Personally I'm fine with these fairly short videos. I typically watch all my subscribed lpers right after getting up while I'm drinking my coffee and waking up. Normally this isn't a huge deal, like an hour or so generally. But on top of raocow and two other lpers releasing 10-20 minute videos every day or two there's also Iso with Hollow Knight and those episodes are averaging about an hour in length themselves lately. (Not that this is actually a complaint about Iso's video length, despite being an hour long they legitimately don't feel like they are.)

Ah raocow, you gave too easily again. You gotta think outside the box train!

Since you were so confused, I'll leave 2 hints:
1) No smashing required!
2)

The transitions between inside and outside are mostly one-to-one. Mostly.

the place you didn't go here is really obvious;

there was another dropdown point on top of the train that was clearly a secret room but you kept jumping over it

I haven't played this game, and I'm just as stumped as raocow on where most of the secrets he's missed are located, but that particular hidden door I saw immediately. I'm frankly surprised it was only for extra coins - I expected it to be the treasure.
