You okay, raocow? Just making sure you aren't getting close to burnout here.that feeling when putting a video online is now so rote and mechanical that you don't realise you've just done it

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Elevated
Could just be that the process of uploading is such a rote mechanical thing that takes so little conscious effort that it's become a sort of automatic thing for him to do at this point. Doesn't necessarily have to correlate with getting burnt out. Though with so many videos a day I could see that being a concern nonetheless.
Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exercise
Saw his description in the Mega Man vid for last night, and yeah, I kind of figured it was a bad day carried over to the videos. Hope today's a better one for you, man!

Yeah, my understanding is that the SMB3 stuff in SMBX is all based on SMA4, not SMAS port; even graphics were lifted from SMA instead of SMAS.

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exercise
SMBX borrowing things from the e-Reader levels? You'd think the rampant style clashes between the SMB3 and SMW sprites would be giving them heart attacks a-go-go.
Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exercise
In Canada, "A" is spelled with an "E"("Eh"). So, the confusion between an E Tank as an A Coin is understandable.

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exercise
So does that mean "Canada," is pronounced "Cehnehdeh," then?
Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exercise

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exploration
Hah. I was waiting for you to get to that second stage... my reaction to seeing the "invisible blocks that appear when you turn into a statue" gimmick was basically "...no *way*!" Of all the places for SMBX to get an idea from...

Whoah, a feather. I still didn't get it until you spelled it out rao.
That was very interesting. Probably my favorite level so far?
It had a good balance of fun* and creativity.
I think that might just be that secret nintendo quality.
*(There is this word that I want to use instead of fun that I can't seem to remember and looking for synonyms isn't working.
It's the feeling you get when you play a simple mario level where you get a bunch of coins and everything just feels nice?
If you also don't know just imagine there is this word that conveys that concept; thanks)

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Exploration
Nintendo knows most players suck, which is why the sky/sea gives you way too many 1UPs.

So where does that door raocow skipped in the second level go, if it's the pipe that leads to the end? Is that just a place where you can get another shoe or something?

Yeah. It's just a small room with a ? block containing another shoe.Dragon Fogel wrote: ↑6 years ago So where does that door raocow skipped in the second level go, if it's the pipe that leads to the end? Is that just a place where you can get another shoe or something?

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Effortless
Earlier in the lp raocow was forced to throw a vegie to collect an otherwise unobtainable e Coin.
Veggies also collect normal coins.
By the way, if you go through the shortcut, you don't even need to kick the Buzzy shell to get to the end of the "muncher run".

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Effortless
It's good to see that raocow's needs are well taken care of in these levels.
Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Effortless
I cracked up multiple times during this level. I don't know exactly why I was tickled so much. I think it started with the penguin bumping you over and over until you did fall into the hole after all. Just super funny. I'm sorry.

Yeah, I was pretty sure the vegetables were for throwing at the coins, but I guess abusing the room-reset mechanics is a valid solution too.
Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Effortless
Leave it to raocow to break every puzzle.
Also 30 coins for a leaf doesn't seem like a good deal at all.

Re: SMB3 e-Reader Stages - Effortless
Although it's worth noting that you don't really have much to spend coins on in World E, lives are useless (Game Overs do... nothing, really), and perhaps chests can give other items as well.
