Re: COMING UP NEXT
Quick question, are you planning on playing the new content in the Distorted Travesty 3 update, and if so, when?

Just an early heads up that there are people that can provide you a save where you need to be.

He should go for Achilles mode while he's at it. (All things considered, at least in the early game it's not an enormous difficulty increase.)Le Neveu de Rameau wrote: ↑6 years agoWelp, looks like you'll have to play the whole thing all over again. On camera. No editing.

Hey raocow, just curious... have you heard of Environmental Station Alpha? I played it earlier this year... a fun, challenging, but mechanically straightforward Metroidvania with simple but charming graphics you'd probably dig. Might make for an interesting LP at some point, since I know you like the genre.
Ayjo and Meya are watching you. Be on your best behavior.

That's a damn good Patreon vote candidate. I know some things get raocow-says-yes privileges like Cuphead, but a long-ass dark and moody Soulslike-Metroidvania should probably go up against some competition, as fantastic as it obviously is. And besides, Ori and Aquaria are gonna have raocow drowning in atmospheric labyrinths for a while.
Re: COMING UP NEXT
Maybe Hollow Knight isn't there yet because Spectre Knight is occupying the knight position, and there can be only one

I'm just happy to be back in a timeline where there are so many games grapsing for attention. There was a point where I was a bit worried but this hasn't been the case for like a year

Re: COMING UP NEXT
OK, with Earthworm Jim Duology on the on-deck circle, I have setups ready for both Earthworm Jim for Windows 95, and the Saturn Ewrthworm Jim 2:
In order to get EWJ95 correctly working, I had run it though a pcem emulation of Windows 95, which unfortunately inflates the size of the setup, but otherwise it works fine, when combined with VirtualDVD (since the latest stable of pcem doesn't have bin/cue support)
for EWJ2, the Saturn core of mednafen is a bit CPU-intensive, and you might see a slight bit of frameskipping in windowed mode. Fullscreen mode seemed fine

I'll probably just send you the pre-configured setups, minus the BIN/CUE files (unless you want those sent too), it'll probably make it easier.

Re: COMING UP NEXT
Yep.
Also, before I forget, I should note the Special Edition has different endings if you play on Easy or Difficult mode, so that might be something you want to consider.

Re: COMING UP NEXT
Better choice not to play something as awful as Sonic anyways. I dunno how a series whose basic concept is utterly made a moot point by 90% of its level design ever became popular.
Re: COMING UP NEXT
the classic anthology at the very least (1-Mania) is meant to be fun to speedrun once you know the level(s)
you can go fast if you know how
replaying value if youre into that kind of thing
