It's called hyper 6 because each level in the last world takes at least 6 hours to beat. The first seven worlds of the hack are fantastic; it steadily piles up the difficulty, you begin noticing how much longer it takes to beat the levels till the climax of the world 7 castle (which took me about 3 hours), and although there are some pretty frustrating levels along the way it is still manageable. World 8 is a different level of difficulty again, with every single level requiring several hours; you can try to make it more bearable by taking capes into levels and flying over them, or practising levels with savestates before playing them properly, but this is not very satisfying and I stopped playing the hack properly at some point. The special world is all over the place with some levels short and very hard (and quite fun to play), and others going on for ever like in world 8. [At some point in this litany I should remind raocow he couldn't get through Depraved Stronghold.] Having said all this, I would love to see a raocow lp of most (the first seven worlds) of Hyper VI.
While I'm here, I may as well recommend another hard hack. levelengine is a huge fan of raocow and prolific hacker-- who else has given a shout-out to raocow in the credits of one of his hacks
and built a scale model of what he thinks raocow looks like in one of his magl entries? Therefore raocow should consider playing this seasonal hack (which will be out of season if he gets to it):
Christmas Balls. It's very hard and some levels will be very annoying but at least raocow will not have much time to regret he ever started it (unlike Hyper VI) as it consist of only 12 levels.
