At least Me-gaman seems happy.
Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.

I am genuinely disappointed that none of the staff people were named Kevin.

MISSION PERFECT!
i've honestly never played a video game in my life
Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
Not going to lie, that was my least favorite Mega Man to watch so far. A train wreck of a game is just more entertaining to witness than a straight up bad port, you know?

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
Please, please, please raocow, I absolutely *beg* you... don't do one boss per video of the fighters. They're just robot masters without stages. There is no more depth to them than in the games themselves. I realize you enjoy teasing and trolling us, but really, that's not even *amusing* teasing/trolling.
Ayjo and Meya are watching you. Be on your best behavior.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed this playthrough of this terrible port. There's just something appealing about watching raocow overcome bad design decisions through his sheer stubbornness. After all, isn't that what the Hyper VI LP is all about?
That said, I'm glad it didn't go on for longer. One week was plenty of attention for this mess.

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
If I was raocow I would've split this video into two but uploaded them both on the same day. It WAS two stages.
...but that said, I second how it would be a very bad idea to just do one fight a day for the boss rush games.

Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
Whenever people say "ugh MM5 has such a BAD selection of weapons" I'll counter with "but Game Gear" from now on .
Seriously though, they had all the weapons from MM4 and 5 to choose from (and possibly 2??!?!?!?!) and they chose Star Crash, Power Stone, Rain Flush, Flash Stopper and Water Wave? What does it say about your bottom barrel scrapings game when Napalm Bomb is without a doubt (in MY mind at least) the best weapon?
Hell, the screen isn't even actually small so you can't profit from its smaller size making Power Stone marginally less suicidally awful!

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
I especially like how the two MM4 weapons *are* fairly useful... in MM4. But this version nerfed Flash Stopper to just be a weak "damage all on screen enemies" effect, and Rain Flush is absolutely useless given when you get it. There are like... four enemies in Quickman's stage, tops? And it's not Wily's weakness or anything, so... unless they set it up to kill the Hotheads or the Sniper Joe Armor in one hit or something, there's nowhere practical to *use* it. And it drains even *more* weapon energy than it did in 4. I'm impressed!Paragraph wrote: ↑6 years ago Whenever people say "ugh MM5 has such a BAD selection of weapons" I'll counter with "but Game Gear" from now on .

I want to see raocow play Mega Man Network Transmission. It doesn't have to be in this series.

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
I gave it a thought over night, and I decided to consider the arcade game like 'boss capsule rooms', but I'll play the wily fortresses apart, so instead of taking a month and a half it's gonna take 12 days, which is like, the size of regular megamen games

That definitely makes more sense. Thanks for that.

Re: Mega Man: The Power Battle - Capcom's Arcade Power Play
Editing the title early tonight since I need to catch up on some sleep. Hope I actually got the game right here, or I'll be looking foolish in the morning! Anyhoo, this and the sequel are all right games. Fun co-op to be had, but stuff like this always makes me wish they did a proper fighting game with a decent amount of bots from the series. It just never came to be!

Re: Mega Man: The Power Battle - Capcom's Arcade Power Play
I've been musing on the concept of basically doing PvP Mega Man thing using the sprites from Battle and Fight or whatever the Neo Geo port was called. Iirc, what I'm thinking of doing is similar to the secret 2-player mode of Mega Man 7, but I'm also thinking of making it so that after you select your character you also select from three-to-four robot master weapons to vary up your arsenal from just your character's base traits.Bean wrote: ↑6 years ago Editing the title early tonight since I need to catch up on some sleep. Mostly just haven't gotten anywhere with it because I can't figure out what to make it in.

Are you going to show the boss weapons? There are a few ones that are different than in the original games.

Some remixes were more ready than others for this one. I do like how they threw a lot of the songs from these games into the PS1 ports or remakes that we got with the PS2 Anniversary Collection.
