magic coin
As GlitchMr already said, this level used to be a kaizo balloon level. The author deemed it redundant because there already is another kaizo balloon level in YUMP.

The redesigned version was made two days ago.

The author discovered this gimmick via nuclear facility. The fake keys are caused by sprite slot shenanigans. The exit sublevel was also picked to be sublevel 1F0 (same number as the infamous glitch tile) on purpose.
HELL
This was supposed to be a fake youtube-style kaizo level. The level's not really difficult at all, the only difficulty comes from the traps and the kaizo blocks. This level's author hates real kaizo, so aside from these cheap traps the level is relatively easy and short.
Usually the creators of these levels are about 10 years old and like to be edgy, so the name of HELL and the red hellish pallette fit this level perfectly. And most importantly, 666 time. There is lava below the mega mole section so you can observe the dead banzai bill + lava glitch.

The death hole uses the maximum number of screens available in vertical levels.
DINOSAUR CASTLE
An edit of Ludwig's castle. The level name comes from the fact that the weird orange rocks in the background makes the author think "prehistoric" for some bizarre reason, hence DINOSAUR CASTLE. The main gimmick of the first half was stolen from a level by ft029 in his currently unreleased hack - he showed a gif of that weird layer 1 vs layer 2 rock priority drawing. Therefore the author just randomly placed layer 1 rocks for fun and profit. Second half was mainly just the author messing with layer 2. The falling layer 2 room used to require a lot tighter timing, and the sumo lighting at the beginning of the third room used to be a thwomp. The boss was also just regular Ludwig until another level used him, so they made the big boo fight. The Super Mouths are an emote in the jumphalf discord now.

Also I love that fantastic port of Wacky Workbench Past. It killed me. It's really good.

So here's a fun fact about that Yoshi coin glitch. It's actually used in the 96-exit speedrun of SMW to skip a few levels.
In Vanilla Dome 1, in the block grid section near the beginning of the level, there's a Yoshi coin that's above some turn blocks. You can take a buzzy beetle shell and dupe a turn block upward so it replaces the bottom half of the coin. Once the turn block you created stops turning (which you can force by spinning up some other turn blocks; only 4 can be spinning at once), you grab the top half of the Yoshi coin, and it creates an invisible block. These invisible block's contents are depended on the block's x-coordinates on screen (like many other objects in SMW), and unfortunately, the dragon coin's placement leaves the invisible block to have a key in it. So the next task is to dupe the invisible block diagonally, up and to the right, so you create a new invisible block with x-coordinates at a point where they have Yoshi wings in them. You do the second dupe, knock the wings out of the block, and since you come into the level with Yoshi, you grab them, go to the flying bonus game, and throw yourself off the ledge, unlocking the regular exit of the level.
Here's the whole trick in action:

It looks pretty impossible, but you can get it surprisingly consistent once you get a bit of muscle memory down. You also have the cape, which turns the normally 1-frame dupe tricks into 2-frame ones, since you can jump into the air and fall slowly, giving you a larger window to be in the right y-coordinate to pull off the dupe.

There's a couple other levels that take advantage of this or a similar glitch.
One in Gnarly where you just have to dupe a turn block up twice, and since the yoshi coin is already in the proper x-position, it always has wings. And then there's also a wings trick in Tubular that I don't understand nor know how to perform.

the HELL pipe just leads to a 1B (I think that's the max???) vertical room where you just drop... and drop...

TUBULAR in SMW: That block normally has the P-balloon, so the tile to the left would be a wings. Having the P-switch (or key, shell, etc.) stuck in a wall makes it able to produce things rapidly, but you have to get it in proper position first. Pausing the game or screen scrolling can move the object left or right, but it's RNG.

Except we're talking about a romhack based in bad Youtube levels. Where trapping the player is a legitimate occurrence all too often. And either way providing a way to kill yourself if you happen to think of R-scrolling is still shit design and only marginally better than providing no way. Also as raocow proved it's not the only thing you can try. He kinda did the thing that would be most obvious. You guys are trying to go about this the wrong way. You already know that there's a way to die. A blind player will not. This isn't a difficult concept so I dunno why you're struggling with this.
Why I'm struggling? You're the one being aggressive about it. raocow didn't prove anything of the sort, he waited out the timer. Lack of action isn't an action. Speeding up is completely irrelevant here. As for things the player can actually do to affect the level in a relevant way there's extremely little, r-scrolling being one of those very few things. The fewer options there are the more likely they are of being tried by the player, that's the one and only thing I pointed out! It's a very simple concept, I can't see why you're struggling. I never said it was the most obvious or a majority of players would try it yadda yadda, just that it's not unlikely to be tried.

The part you seem to be struggling with is the part where you're arguing that the trap isn't poorly designed because the existence of an off-screen bullet bill cannon that could be used to kill yourself if you even think to scroll the screen. Something most people aren't going to consider, especially due to the, y'know, shitty design.

PLUMBER MOVIE
It's an overused meme. Also, the author found this level annoying while playing through the hack, so they requested that more running space be given at the beginning to allow flying. As a compromise however, there are munchers above the level to make flying slightly difficult. However, you can simply yoshi jump at the start to remove the spin jump too.
Ghost. is pretty awful too I think raocow should play some other levels first before moving on to that one. two true youtube levels in a row is overkill lol. we basically put a bunch of garbage levels in this area as a punishment for not beating land of communism correctly

I found this YUMP cartridge at a garage sale. It was sold to me by a mystical Chinese man who spoke in deep metaphors. When I got home, I realized that this wasn't the YUMP I played as a child. The logo came up and it was covered in EERIE, REALISTIC BLOOD. I started a file and the map was COVERED IN BLOOD. I went into a level and Mario was COVERED IN BLOOD.

Forward this to 10 people or Mario will come to your house covered in blood and ask to use your shower.

I wonder if you could break the level in yet another way by getting hit by the plant after "AVIATION," and landing on the comma. Of course that's a fair way in, but it looked like it might be possible.

Now, I know you're generally fond of all things JUMPy, raocow, but some of these levels are designed to be unabashedly terrible. You don't have to pretend they're secretly good and clever, indeed, this probably amounts to missing the joke. You'll make the authors frown if you miss their very subtle and complex humor.

Pffft, another ripoff of the TEST level. Kappa

While I haven't actually played that level, it does look really hard. Spin jump bouncing gives you no time to reposition yourself and aim your jump.

I think the reason for the powerup filter breaking was that it was improperly constructed. It appeared to only have one powerup so if you came through without a powerup already in your item box you'd get hit before collecting the powerup so it wouldn't get knocked out of your box. I think. Don't quote me on that though.

According to all known laws of SMW Hacking there is no way a player should be able to beat Ghosts. so easily. raocow of course does it anyway.

I noticed this too, it consistently broke when he came in big. Because you come in tall, you start off getting pushed back since you're standing in a 1-tile-high space.
But it's YUMP, so who the hell knows if it's a mistake/oversight.

Ghost.
This is the author's favorite level that they made for YUMP. It's VERY loosely inspired by House of Turner from ASMT, but honestly "bad ghost house" is where that inspiration ends (along with the music). The entire idea is to make the worst ghost house ever. Fishin' Boo, power up filter, sprite memory limits, randomly appearing cape. Everything is deliberately placed to be misleading and the author love how devious it is. The math "puzzle" is a reference to Lespna's MaGL3 level, and the kicker koopa in the exit room is a reference to Matterhorn in VLDC9.
There are coin arrows and moons specifically placed to mislead the player, along with p switch doors on many of the screens. Some of the hints were added the night before release, like the clock to hint to wait, or the "5" message box, hinting that the exit is on screen 5.

The author also was eating cheesecake when making this level, so the sugar may or may not have been a factor. Maybe.

No secret exit.
:squaremushroom:
The last level this author made for YUMP. The idea for the level popped into their head when they were messing around with the :squaremushroom: emoji in jumphalf discord. The mushroom itself is just the center mushroom piece with line guides instead of the default corners on the sides, and it first became famous in a JUMP1/2 level and became a big joke since worldpeace complained about them specifically (he called them "morally wrong"). The idea in the level was to just make a single layer 2 platform and then randomly spam sprites. Originally this level was only the first half, but idol bugged the author to make a second half, so they stole the descending elevator gimmick from Swissotel in VLDCX. This level was, cumulatively, made in an hour.

The music also used to be Legato Fail but I changed it. The music in the first half is Spitz - Robinson, the same music used in the JUMP1/2 level that pioneered the square mushroom. The music in the second half is another Spitz song.

It's a nice touch that the "555555555555..." ghost house leads to the map with "Take Five" as the overworld music.
