this is the place where lps are being talked about. it's important to talk about games being played on the internet.

i mostly only remember things that stand out in a bad way

like i can tell you there's an orb on 5-5 (two actually) that are total dickish bastards to get and make that level the worst game of the maingame on their own
i have no clue what 5-4 or 5-6 is like though, but they're probably pretty good

So weird having a level oriented left-to-right, instead of bottom-to-top, in this game.

Aww, he almost got all the seeds in the first level today. How did he forget to sing to the 3rd animal today? He passed by it several times today!

He was even going out of his way to get them too, lol.

Also raocow, the reason you've needed to explain your mindset with the autoscroll levels is probably because you're viewing things in a more short-sighted manner than those who are questioning your reasoning. It really doesn't matter that you get it "technically" free at the beginning because the chances of you getting through those levels without dying on your first shot are almost non-existent anyways, especially at this stage of the game. So if you're going to have to play through it twice to begin with it seems kinda pointless.

There's a chance that the deaths might be foreseeable enough that he can get through with respawns when he makes big mistakes, though. That's happened already.

Granted, it's probably less likely with the rocket, at least the way he plays.

the chase level today i somehow have like, no memory of. i've played thru this entire game at least 3-4 times. i recognize all the other chase levels so i have no clue why this one feels so foreign to me. maybe because it's easier than the ones around it? because it really is, that slow autoscroll bit is like. nothing

There's no cost to restarting, though, just in case.

And as we saw today, he plays better when he's holding out hope that it's a one-shot.

'Cept that he did that very thing, in episode 19. Would have wasted a fair bit of time if he hadn't restarted at the beginning when he died.

You could argue that the levels are getting harder so there's less chance, but still....if you options are (a) start at the beginning with a small chance at earning the secret or (b) start at the beginning without any chance at earning the secret....I think the choice is obvious, and he's doing the right thing.

this level is just a long string of cool puzzle platforming and it's easily the best of the bonus levels, i wish they were all more like this instead of doing the weird janky stuff
it's totally possible to do this entire level without going through the dying/restarting cycles raocow did a lot of but it's also pretty intentionally designed to let you do that as well
for the one bit with the green guy it would've been faster to just restart to checkpoint and then jump out, but not by too much really so whatever

honestly though all the bad bonus levels are done at this point & all the remaining ones are pretty cool

It'd make sense if they were one-way or switched him from the character he's currently using but if neither is true there's literally no reason not to. Though from his commentary it sounded like he somehow didn't even see that one today.

there are no bonus levels after the maingame, just the usual bonus levels from the chase levels.

except there's only one

also watching raocow be completely bamboozled by the bonus level today was hilarious if i say so myself

I really liked today's levels. The bonus level's gimmick was neat, looked difficult but it's a skill you can learn.

And the main level was just a fun explore-o-jumper, and seemed to tie together all the tools from the game so far really well, while using the "city" theme. Music was cool too.

so world 5 is like, crazy atmospheric and kind of fantastic
except level 5 which can HECK OFF with the orbs right near the end that raocow doesn't have to worry about
also

if you were disappointed by the inside-boss level here you will enjoy the final boss a lot

I really liked that stage today. Kind of reminded me of Rayman for some reason, but he doesn't move like that.

raocow not sure why you are thinking the last world is shorter than the others; if anything, based on the lengths of the main levels it's the longest (still 7 stages and a boss as usual, though)

I think that 4th pillar looked different because you were able to take the glowing orb out, after depositing it.
