The interactions with the dolphins with other NPCs in that last level, while buggy, is also very amusing to me.

I never ended up submitting anything to this because the level I started working on just wasn't fun and I was too stressed about things to polish it, but I'm excited to see what people have made!

Man, this looks like a fun project so far! I approve of not showing any scores in the game - it makes it feel like a collab instead, which are usually a lot of fun no matter which community designed them. Hopefully this also means no drama and pointless placements discussions as well!

I think it's also pretty nice that it doesn't seem to be an enormous project like MAGLX2 was, 72 exits seem very reasonable.

Kind of disappointed that the nationality of the users are not shown with a little flag on the overworld or something, I thought that was an interesting part of the original contest idea. It's not like that actually matters of course

How were you supposed to tell where the border between water and air was in that second level? It feels tedious, especially with a bottomless pit.

Seemed like it was keyed to the background of all things?

Woah, I didn't realize that if you go too far under the ocean, it runs out of water. You learn something new every day!

I heavily disagree with the placement of Horikawa's Summer Home. The level was way too short and offered no interesting gameplay. It was also missing a midpoint.

Second level and it already has 1F0 ;) .

I guess the background was supposed to be the indication for the water transition, but it would have been better if the indication was in the foreground.

Making the Dolphins have top colission with npc's is strange considering it didn't do that much with that idea.

The modifications in the compilation and the overworld so far are amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing other parts of the overworld.

Does the overworld actually mark levels you've completed in any way? Since the path is opened from the beginning that makes it seem like keeping track of what levels you've already beaten might end up being a tad tedious.

Wigglers are one cohesive sprite? This is an outrage! When they die, they just flop off the screen in unison instead of having each segment slowly wiggle downwards. Terrible!

That water-to-nonwater transition in the 2nd level looked super jank, especially since the background, the indication for the transition, consistently moved on the y-axis. I really liked the colors of that level though, super swell.

I enjoyed how the day passed in the dolphin level. I like it when people put that kind of effort in their levels to create that nice feeling of progression.

I know it's been said but oh mama that OW

Maybe it's something psychological about being able to see a lot more on-screen at once compared to SMW?
