I still haven't finished this game. Got stuck in the final area.

Well, okay, technically I got an ending before then.

And I've only been to one secret room, which I also got thoroughly stuck on.

Hopefully it goes better for you than it did for me. Maybe I should make an effort to finish it up so I can watch this LP without worry.

If the secret rooms are hard to find I guess that means there's nothing hinting at where they are then? Because it looks like there's a place you can go under the stairs in 1-6 in the darkness (though it could just be a pit of death).

Oh hell yes, EG2. I finished this but haven't 100%'d it. It's a fantastic, dastardly, EVIL game. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Ohhhhhhhhh yes. Been waiting for this one for a long time, this is gonna be good.

To confirm: yes the postgame's been replaced by secret rooms. They're all Heckin' Murdertown City but much better-designed than EG1's postgame.
No there's no explicit indication on the map where the secret rooms are, but you can narrow it down by virtue of the fact that, well, they're rooms. :p They're connected and contiguous to the levels you unlock them from.
And they're pretty much all extremely deviously well-hidden as I recall, raocow I'm sorry but I don't especially have faith in your sleuthing abilities to find them all on your own. :p

I went in more or less expecting to have to look up their locations for the sake of the LP. I have made peace with that.

This'll be a lot of fun.

Also, the secret rooms are awesome - for the most part - and they're way better than the postgame in EG1 (the aesthetics in particular are great). I would give an honest attempt at trying to locate them on your own before looking up help. I was able to find the vast majority of them without any sort of guide, though it took some very thorough searching. As Zyglrox said, it'll become pretty obvious where they're supposed to be once you flesh out more of the map, and it should make searching for them a bit less of a pain.

I agree with the cow in that this goat is kind of ugly, artisticly.

I agree on the art style as well. The pixelized goat was far more aesthetically pleasing.

I personally find neither ideal, although the original goat is a little better than the new goat.

It also looked like there was a spot earlier on where something could potentially be. One of the levels has a dark spot near the top which looks to be some sort of corridor which doesn't actually serve a purpose in the level.

I've really been looking forward to this LP. This game is a lot of fun, and the first game was one of my favorite raocow LPs (at least up to the postgame). I thought the more pixelated art style of the first game was cool, but I do like this one more.

The secret rooms are pretty well hidden, but at least some them are pretty reasonable to guess since there are weirdly superfluous elements in those rooms that hint at an additional puzzle. Once the map starts to fill out and you know where to look, it becomes easier to notice those things too. It's been a while since I played this, but I do think one or two of the secrets took me a while to find though. Figuring out where the secrets are by looking for those hidden puzzles is a big part of the fun, but it's perfectly understandable to look up the rooms for the sake of the LP, especially with a rigid schedule like raocow has.

Anyway, I'm really happy this has finally started.

Looks like this game is off to a good start.
That's a pretty huge art shift.

I've never heard raocow's voice go so deep and majestic before. I like it.

I hope he gives any other characters that may pop up good voices as well, as he's on a role so far.

Looks like he doesn't have much choice in the matter!

And so much for that streak of good voices.

That achievement you got was for killing all the reapers. If the secrets were as easy to find as "do this room differently", I'd probably have found more than one of them.

Just got EG2 from GOG.com and caught up with raocow. The worlds so far have been simple enough, but from the promos I'm expecting it to ramp up next world.

The only thing I'm miffed about is that so far only the Steam version has a level editor--and somehow Steam won't let me put the game in the cart, which is why I went with GOG.com in the first place! Otherwise, it's an alright game so far. EDIT: NVM, Steam's cooperating now. Now, to play the game again and see if I can get away with saying it's so nice I bought it twice! *sigh*

This doesn't give any locations of the secret exits, but it is about their general nature, so spoilered in case anyone wants to look for them with no hints whatsoever:
The secret exit doors are not visible when you enter the room. They only appear when you find the secret exit key, which is also not visible, but generally involves getting into some area of the room that is hard to get to or isn't normally accessible without solving some additional puzzle. It makes more sense once you find one and see it happen.

I am ten million percent sure there is a secret exit raocow missed in today's video. I've never played this game but it's TOTALLY RIGHT THERE.

The joke might be on whoever hit the video with dislikes. From what I understand, YouTube considers them activity on the video and will promote the video more because of them. Although I'm a bit skeptical of that info, it could also just be an old wives' tale.
