I also thought kona's room was impossible without a cape but I've just tried it again and you can beat it so if you solve those crazy timing puzzles. Lost Levels style surprises have always appealed to me so I was laughing long and loud during that pipe journey.

I think we need a pipe in the Depraved Stronghold that sends you back to the beginning.

Yeah, ballooning levels are what they are.
Although if you have to make a ballooning level, doing it like this might not be the worst idea? The individual segments are pretty short all things considered, and having short brakes of normal platforming before you get another balloon is a nice touch.
It didn't overstay its welcome to me personally, but I think I died less often than raocow did, so yeah

I'm sorry, I just didn't fell like posting the last few days.
I really liked the moonjumping part of Sorry. So the reward for getting every Yoshi Coins is a Switch Status Station huh at least it's something if you wanted to play through harder/easier versions of some levels (and it's interesting that you don't need 100% for this reward, because only Yoshi Coins matter and not exits. I wonder if you can get every Yoshi Coin even if you skip some of the switches?).

Koopa Castle's Front Door is of course a MULTIPERSON level. The Pipe that takes you to the beginning of the section is the best thing. Using layer 2 as platforms and using the fast layer 2 smash is not a good idea, because Mario can easily clip into layer 2 and die to an unfair death.

The mask boss while pretty cool should've had a checkpoint before it, and having the Throw Block fall and be immediately destroyed by an explosion is not the greatest thing.

That was a really neat autoscroll and layer 2 scroll in Star-1, but in most situations you had to wait instead of hurrying, so the name is a bit misleading.

Yeah flying a Big/Fiery/Caped Bathtub is much harder than flying a Small Bathtub especially in that level, and some of those situations looked rather tight.

Oh boy I'm looking forward to seeing other levels so we can see ASMT in the sky. ;)

Post Preview Edit: Um... that background in the original secret area in Sorry... yeah.........I'm not into yuri/yaoi

That first level looked pretty cool. I like autoscrolling that doesn't follow any of the baked in patterns, and the design of the level was pretty great too!

I think I would have kept the fireballs in the ballooning level, myself. The ballooning section didn't look as hard as the platforming sections to me.

my proudest thread title yet

way to overcomplicate every single thing about that stupid joke level haha
it's not supposed to actually be hard you know

Good thing to know about tommorrow's level: It has an invisible midpoint before the boss, just like "The ??? Computer" did. So no need to worry if you die when you first get to it!

It's also very hard, but very fun at the same time (at least that was my experience!)

From what I read in the comment section the original Switch Palace Station(TM)'s background was from Sakura Trick making it related to the final level of the game right?
The Yoshi level had interesting Yoshi usage, but I think raocow shouldn't have had so much trouble with it, the end was pretty great though (I wonder if this level shares an event slot with the previous level or does it just skip an event?)

So this is it, the final level of ASPE. It has interesting uses of custom Boo Rings(I think there was also a custom Boo Stream too?) and custom Snakeblocks (weren't snakes the title gimmick of this LP?), but in some parts it feels like the player has too little time to react on first try though.

Query whether the second half would have benefited from "the snake block is going to turn here" coin guides.

Yoshi jump across that goal post raocow!

The little tricks in that boo trick level were really pleasing to see.

test.smc is really good btw

Well that was a boss fight. And it went about as painfully as I expected it given my experience with the exact same battle in this game.

Ah well, good job clearing it raocow. That Big Boo is an absolute pain to hit, and the sheer amount of sprites onscreen is a nightmare.
