Make a Good Gift Contest!??? Birthday post game
Re: Make a Good Gift Contest!??? Day 23s
The problem with poetry I think is that a lot of the time you need to know every aspect of its creation to really get anything out of it, you need good exposure or some sort of connection to the poet or poem itself to appreciate the work unless you're specifically really into poetry. I like Robert Burns for example but a lot of that is because him and his work are entrenched in my country's culture, we spent time growing up looking at his work and celebrating it on Burns' night, so I've grown up with a connection to his works.
A good painting/sculpture/song/etc on the other other is something you can have a look at or listen to and appreciate as a creation immediately then think about the meaning and such afterwards. You don't need to know much about the artist or the meaning behind the work to appreciate things, you don't need to be a big art or music buff to find the medium enjoyable, there's a instant level of enjoyment with them than poetry doesn't quite have.

Re: Make a Good Gift Contest!??? Day 23s
Poetry is pretty hard to constantly absorb, yes. It's not nearly as marketable as music, which is easily placed just about anywhere. Heck, I absorb far more music than poetry. I see poetry more as written art. It doesn't have a given form until it hits the page. And it doesn't necessarily have to make sense, either. The reason why I adore poetry is that it's incredibly to experiment compared to something like a book...
Books themselves, to me, are reflections of the author's soul. Poetry, then, is the abridged splatters between the lines. And as life has sometimes taught us, that is where the most devout of all art can be found. That doesn't mean I consider poetry to be the most beautiful of all art. It's just a nice way to relate, and indeed, to learn, about the world.
Naturally, it's fine if you ignore poetry in favor of another medium. The beauty about life is that there are many ways to express one's self. I suppose I'm trying to understand all of them in my life...

Thank you I guess. The letter was written before I put the episode together.RegiBleck wrote:After reading that whole letter and everything, I have to say. You are one swell guy.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I am sorry.

As a kid playing Smb2 I could beat any boss including Wart, but anytime I was against Mouser I had to get my Dad to beat him for me because for some reason, I just couldn't beat Mouser.

Re: Make a Good Gift Contest!??? BOXING DAY?!
Yeah, I had this dumb idea. Too bad the execution was harder than I expected. First one fell apart and I overdid the second one because I was worried it'd break again. That's why it's so...solid. My bad. I wasn't sure if I should send it, but I figured he could still get a laugh out of it.

I don't get why people seem unhappy about very melted perler beads. Alot of the time, I intentionally melt them to the point where the holes are gone because I think it looks better.

It does make it smooth and more like the original pixel art, which is nice.RegiBleck wrote:I don't get why people seem unhappy about very melted perler beads. Alot of the time, I intentionally melt them to the point where the holes are gone because I think it looks better.

When you accidentally completely fuse a large section together I think the best fix is to do it all the way everywhere. It's just another style really but it's a bit janky when it's mixed with non-solid areas.
fart.

Oh boy, raocow got my piss stream link. I find it absolutely amazing how well the timing is, with the Switch being released with the new Zelda and everything. I actually bought that amiibo two or so years ago, I had no idea, but to me, it feels like the planets aligned haha
I'm happy you really enjoyed my letter's gimmick. You read the intro exactly as I wanted you to, as a really long run on sentence haha feels good when an automatic level comes together properly, hopefully the post game wasn't too unexpected or random, it's such a different game feeling compared to the beginning.

That was a nice collection. I also liked the choice of the wrapping paper.

Expect 2 more, I had issues with my gift (thing I wanted to send him was out of stock until Mid-February, then both me and RMM had issues trying to buy it, so I had to audible for something else, and I ended up just sending RMM money, and he had it shipped directly to raocow)Sebby19 wrote:I will say that I sent my gift late, so expect 1 more!
