As ridiculous disco shell room looked, this room was actually harder in ASMT. Thankfully ASMT version of this level is completely optional because it's an insane Kaizo level.

tbh that level looked a bit easier than shown in the video. The room was definitely quite long though

Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c14map5y4cq4q ... L.smc?dl=0

ParmaJon sent this fishmarket version of A2MT to me with the extra level (I haven't checked but it might have that other missing level in it too).

So I have enough videos for YUMP for the rest of the week. I'm currently in Minneapolis for work, and the factory hours are long, but if I finish early one of the days I'll be able to give B-Side another try! Again, this is not abandoned, it's just that daily content gets priority when recording time is so limited!

What better way to get back in the groove of things than returning to the hardest level in any game you've ever played?

Apply this as an .asm patch to your B-Side rom and you should be able to die as many times as you want without resetting the level. That also means that you'll have to count the demos manually though.

By the way, you may want to consider it's not necessarily 256 deaths glitch in your demo counter. Rather, this happens when 256 level transitions occur due to level transition counter overflow. This means that the transition from room to room is also a transition (intro to first room, first room to second room, and so on).

Woah, I completely forgot about this patch! I'll keep it in mind, but I like using the glitch to approximately count how many deaths I've had! Will probably use it if I run low on 'deaths remaining until glitch happens' in a new room.

Very true! See today's video description for this in action!

Welp, this room is difficult.

Well, here's a way to do that last jump you were dying to, in case you don't mind spoilers:

As you reach the right moment to jump off the wall, press and hold down b while letting go of the d-pad completely. Keep doing so until Mario completely transitions to the platform that will be on the right side of the screen. DO NOT touch the d-pad at all.

Thank you for the tip! I found that letting go of everything but jump didn't work entirely, I had to re-press run and right to get enough momentum to reach the red koopa. But still, much appreciated!

Progress! When this is all done, I'm going to edit together all the winning runs into one sweet video :D

Stitched together from three recording sessions. Three long, long recording sessions.
Ep77e - Unchained Melody [B-Side]

I also recorded a short series on Jolpe's most recent game, a version of SMW made for his family with difficulty similar to the original. Oh, and it's in German :D

You said that the ending has a special thing that only works on one emulator, that's now incorrect, because Snes9x 1.55 now also has MSU1 support. By the way, could you share, or ask anonymousbl00dlust to share that version of B-Side?
