I'm already in love with this game. It's not made by the same cat planet guy, but you can tell they seriously understood the appeal, haha.

ALSO raocow there's nothing that explains this in-game cause it isn't too useful but you can slide to a stop by holding Down while on the ground

Having no checkpoint for the Flowers Beyond the Pepto-Bismol, and then having two checkpoints in adjacent rooms afterwards, seems weird. But that's not amazingly relevant, it might even be said to be petty.

Is there a secret niche above the Pepto-Bismol? Because it looks like there might be, but it might just be geometry.

Yeah, I didn't put much thought process into checkpoint placement. It was mostly just "is there a checkpoint on at least one end of this obstacle? Yes? Okay good."

I found a bug :<

boot it up for the first time, and if you close out of the game before it starts setting up your key configs, you can never play the game.

I assume there's a registry file somewhere that can be deleted to fix this, but I'm not sure exactly where that is, so....

wat. I thought I fixed that!

Well if you're still able to get the game to actually launch, you can press B-I-N-D to activate the Emergency Key Rebinding Wizard™.

Either that, or you can go into "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\CatPlanetSuper" and delete the "cat.planet" file. Careful, though, that will erase everything else too. Since you don't have any progress TO delete then you shouldn't be worried.

I played through this game a few months ago, and it was amazing. It would've been more amazing if I hadn't just gotten stuck in figuring out how to get past a certain part in ice world and never been able to complete it, but up until then, it was great! I'm super glad raocow's finally getting around to playing it, especially because first mention of it in the suggest thread was quite a bit ago.

I'm impressed; this game does a remarkably good job of mimicking both the gameplay style and writing of the original while expanding the scope. Let us hope it also reaches (or dare we hope surpasses?) the original in its level of narrative (as well as geographic) depth.

I got the game from IndieDB just so I could play along. They weren't kidding about the depth of the game. I'm especially impressed the writing feels just like the original even with the increased scope we're dealing with.

Also, raocow, beware the factory spike labyrinth.
