You're Toad but there's an alien on your head and that allows you to have electrical powers! And there's aliens and you're abducted and there's lots of levels with gimmicks and plot and it's pretty great wowzers

every time i encounter an AUS reference it's great because nobody talks about that game but it's perfect
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

I kid, this game is pretty dope. And I second trying to get all the CDs. the computer screen tells you what you're missing and where so cleanup shouldn't be a horrible problem
AUS is a game that I really love and I honestly consider it the pinnacle of the metroidvania genre

The creator turned out to be a dick, he promised to make a level for one of the MaGLX's if raocow played his romhack, but once raocow played the game he was never heard from again.
I don't think that should stop people from liking and talking about the game. Like raocow said ages ago when he played Notte Luminosa, it's important to be able to judge a game on its own merits rather than the person who made it.

That's obviously not related to why nobody talks about the game, people don't talk about it because it isn't popular. Duh.

I also don't remember seeing any MaGLX promise, everyone (myself included) begged rao to play this romhack as soon we heard about it.
And if he did, he probably got busy making other games. Which he does for a living.

Now there IS one person I'd like to somewhat call out a bit.
I asked the creator of AUS, Matt, to make a level. He was thrilled, but said that he'd also like me to do him a favour and try to get raocow to play his SMW hack. We talked for awhile back and forth and, eventually, I got the favour done for him. Once raocow started his LP, he then dropped all contact with me and ignored all my emails. He came onto this forum to talk to peeps about his hack. I sent him PMs. They left my outbox, so I know he read them. It was a complete blackout once he got what he wanted from me. I never got a level. Of all the people who promised something and let me down, he's the only one I'm legit bothered by because I feel legitimately used/had. It was a pretty scummy thing to do.
