Let's Play Medievil 2! [Starting Weapons Only] - 15 [Final] - Skellerman Runs Super Fast, Rescues Hands, Saves London

And now we start MediEvil 2! The sequel continues Sir Dan's story 500 years later, in the late 19th century. Some evil-doer has found Zarok's spellbook, started to bring the dead back to life and is amassing great power! In this game, we continue with the Halloween aesthetics, exploring instead modern creepiness and horror, like freak shows and vampires.
As with MediEvil the first, this playthrough uses only the starting weapons. I will still be going for 100% completion, so all chalices and other weapons will be collected, but their ammo will be thrown away. Of course, after the end of the game, these weapons will be demonstrated, and we'll get vengeance on every level and boss that gave us trouble :D

Enjoying this so far!
You may want to edit and reupload episode 1, however, the cutscene at the beginning plays twice and the audio gets desynced as a result.

I just checked both Episode 0 and Episode 1, there were no repeated cutscenes and the audio was perfectly synced in both videos. Was it a glitch on your end? If there is a problem I'd like to fix it straight away, but I can't see it
For anyone watching, I have a question: Am I only allowed use the Short Sword, the Throwing Daggers and Dan's Arm, or can I also use the Club, the
chicken drumsticks
and the
dragon armor
, since they are found in the game and not the Hall of Heroes?

I've actually decided to just stick with the weapons in Dan's Crypt! The other ones we get are required for progression and will only be used for that purpose (like, I'll only use the club to break boulders blocking my way, and not as a weapon!)

so enemies don't respawn right? but youre not required to kill all enemies for the chalice, so I guess you dont get anything special for killing all enemies

Man, the Stained Glass Demon looks awesome. I'd love to see how that design would be like on today's hardware... And if you point to Resurrection's take, you can leave right now.

Exactly. You don't need to dispatch every enemy, you just need to kill enough enemies for the chalice. Which may seem silly now, but if people vote for Scarecrow Fields as the next level, they'll see why having the option of running away from some enemies, especially when carrying weak weapons, is important! Also, being limited to only the weak Throwing Daggers, which have limited ammo, might cause issues getting the chalice in later levels when there are more airborne enemies.

If you liked the Stained Glass Demon, there is plenty more to look forward to in this game. The halloween theme of the game stays very strong, and every single level and enemy is so memorable. No matter which level wins the vote tomorrow, it's going to be a spectacle!

New episode! I have a new recording setup for this one, but I haven't quite worked out the best settings yet. The sound is a bit better in the JUMP video I recorded after this. Feedback is appreciated!

Looking forward to recording more of this tomorrow, as we'll be entering the midgame this week! There are two boss fights in a row coming up that I'm not sure can be done with just the Throwing Daggers as the ranged weapon!

Huh?
The Enchanted Earth ft. the game over screen a bunch of times! Why did I insist on starting the level with only one Life Bottle? With only the starting weapons to fight Shadow Demons and the difficult bosses? This level actually required planning and strategy to get through it with all these conditions.

Pools of the Ancient Dead
Ep11 - Petrifying Pools
This recording was a bit of a disaster. Both the game audio and voice audio were desynced with the video, getting progressively worse until there were out of sync by about one second by the end of the video. I spent a while in audacity, listening to the audio while watching the video on mute, making changes until everything matched up. I did the best that I could - I hope the video is in a watchable state! :)

Ep15 - Rotting Ruins
I'm about to try recording the solution to the "disaster". This is also the first recording made while having to stay in my family home, where I will reside for the next two or three weeks. The internet here is super slow - last time I was here I tried to upload a Copy Kitty video and it took about two full days.
