DT1 Shroud Lord.

Assist Mode is even more explicit about doing nothing except reducing the damage you take, so again, the viewers miss nothing, which was his justification for using it before. I'm certain he won't use it regularly, but I can think of at least two bosses that WILL take 2~3+ videos.

Again, I did not "make" the game. I want to make that very clear. ZephyrBurst is the sole creator (primary authority) on DT. I'm just QA. :P

It's not unreachable with arrows. You have to move to the right so that you don't scroll the arrow off. That's how I did it.

So I guess VIP 2 3.0 is psychic or something, because those were some death bubbles right there.

Anyway, there is totally something past that Octorok, raocow, you silly billy.

I'm not sure if you noticed it raocow, but you can kill youself commit science from the options menu, saving you from trying to find a pit/enemy.

There is a thing at that weird place.
Also, you can bomb stall after bomb jumping to get to that one entrance. It's just really finicky.

BTW, I didn't realize you could speed up bomb detonation until the mountain map. Go me.

ALSO SAJewers just posted extremely valuable advice.

not everything is gettable the moment you encounter them after the first gate i believe. you will need abilities from later gates.
also if the static effect makes it hard for you to see then it'd probably be a good idea to turn it off -- i turned it off nearly immediately because you're almost always at low health in the early game.

Actually, everything in Gate 2 is gettable without outside abilities also.

I wonder if it'd be better to just pick a path and follow it. The game seems to be expecting the player to find teh secrets though so not sure. The game would be a lot harder with less health and hearts.

I've been meaning to ask what game the not-Wolfos sprites came from.

Yes. However, it's pretty much only possible to do so in the town, as all other screens with chickens do not have healing stations and it's pretty much required to camp them during "the thing that happens" in order to live long enough to do so. Also, even at maximum ability strength it will still take an obnoxiously long time to do the deed; I believe it took me 10 minutes.
That makes sense. Thanks for the input! This should be included in a 100% run because, well, chickens.

The Crossbow is actually really good, and totally in raocow's style. I thought that one would be an instabuy.

Also, raocow's style is less "precision shooting" and more "rain arrows until something hits", so being limited to one at a time would be a considerable drawback.

To Cirnya
Just watched your video. (I had almost forgotten because I saw that post from my phone.) That was intense, those last bits with less than a heart left.

Also, have fun learning all the ins and outs of the final boss. He's harsh. That's pretty much what nearly everyone has had to do to beat that guy.

That Crossbow was NZZ's suggestion, to which I'm a big fan of using. And yes, I'll reiterate what he said. I am indeed the sole coder/designer for the game. They did submit some resources to use from time to time. For example, a certain edited set of music files, which was always a huge help.

Oh, by the way, for the 2nd Hex encounter, is it meant to be possible to run on the right side with claire to graze everything during the bullet maze phase? I'll make a vid if needed.

i keep adding things to this post aaa
getting to kill the sand worm was absolutely amazing and its probably one of my favorite moments in the game
design-wise my favorite part is surprisingly nightmare gate 3 -- towards the end of the game everything becomes kinda a massive pain. for instance, i'm really not a fan of the jetpack guys + healers. i died like 50 times in that room with 2 jetpacks and one healer in the construction site area.

First episode where raocow doesn't find items I found! My self-esteem went up (a bit).

Man though, you're not comfortable with the bombs at all, it's pretty saddening T_T

raocow, this mountain area is in fact the biggest place the piercing arrow accessory is useful. It really helps a lot in places with those orcs since you can hit the orc and any other enemy behind it/other orcs coming that would be shielded by the first orc.

Also like Stink Terios mentioned you should try bomb jumping+stalling. I don't remember when I actually made it but I'm pretty sure I was at the same point in the game as you are currently or on my way back from the temple you're close to when I did it so I'm fairly certain it's actually possible.

Both items are very possible to get.

raocow, if you're having trouble understanding what the techniques are that everyone is talking about, you can see two examples in a row in that link.
If you read this post and thought "Wow, what a swell guy, I sure would like to hear his voice and also watch videogames?" then do I have a link for you.

Think a bit more outside the box. Or rather, inside raocow's box.

edit: i beat the gaaame
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oubunqKGAtY winning run
i died to the final boss 93 times
that ending was kinda dumb honestly
i'm really disappointed at the lack of a ranking screen
62 and a half hours, about 2800 deaths, i got most of the things but not all.

Yep, I also don't like the ending. Really, most of the game is a tonal shift that I don't care for.
