What with the momentary pause into the Shattered Lands finishing up, VIP 2 is going to be retread soon. Since it is kind of a big deal over here... a momentary hype period before the game begins proper is in order.

Man, this is going to be so nostalgic for me. I discovered raocow when he was a couple of videos into his YouTube Vip2 run, and now we're well over 7 years past that. Going to be interesting to see what this game will feel like now that seven years have passed. Best of luck, rao.

Man, I hope we won't get that much ragecow during this LP since I love watching VIP games being played, especially by you. I'd say VIP 2 might be the 2nd hardest VIP with VIP 4 clearly being the single hardest VIP game.

The levels do look pretty nice and gimmicky. We had remakes, Yoshi puzzles with Yoshi based level design, and a level fully about shells. I'm expecting this game to have a lot of ideas now. LIke in the style of, "have an idea and explore it".

It's not that they don't have "social justice warriors" there, it's that Japan in general is still hella homophobic and preys on stereotypes hardcore. (Not like other places aren't or don't, unfortunately, but they've got some serious human rights problems that transcend "lacking SJWs.")

The VIPs were actually the first raocow playthroughs I watched the full series of back in like 2011 or something, I think, and I remember that not too long after the Redux of VIP1 in 2012-2013 was actually the time I signed up to talkhaus.

And even before that, when I was still a lil' sapling in internet standards during like 2008-2010, I remember the VIPs being some of the first SMW Romhacks to really catch my eye (moreso because of the nonsensical sprite replacements than memorable or good level design but eh) besides Kaizo.

So I have some fond early-time-on-the-internet memories about the series as a whole and raocow in relation to them.

That said;
I barely remember anything from VIP2 besides Meme-Exdeath being at the end (and I think Tofu-Man shows up for the first time?), so it'll be fun to try and recall/recognize some things from back in the day (plus finally be able to understand what all the text says, even if a lot of them supposedly is just a bunch of immature gay jokes).
