I know. He's a pretty good LPer and I told him that. He's just not really someone I would subscribe to, but that's okay.
It's more that certain people on this forum can generate quite some hatred and I wouldn't be surprised if that could conflict with some of his fans.

I did. He basically misunderstood everything said in that thread. People said that they didn't enjoy his videos. They thought they were boring, which makes it kind of hilarious when Mr. SSoHPKC himself says the exact same thing about gaming videos without commentary. Double standard much?

Yes, I know it's kind of silly talking bad about someones work 'behind their backs' (and I'll admit that we might have been a bit too harsh), but like he said himself, if you post your stuff somwhere where it's easily accessible, you'll have to be prepared for the criticism.

I am not watching 40 minutes of that guy rambling just to figure out what this "contest" is. Can someone summarize the whole thing? Also being featured on a channel seems like a stupid reward but I guess it'd be kind of dumb to expect anything more.

Okay, he said that he's not going to finish ASMT. But he's holding a contest, post a video response of you playing 7-8 minutes of ASMT, and if you win, you get to do the LP on his channel and then he kicks you off of it.

So basically you get tricked into LPing it, sounds great!!!

As someone who is both a ssohpkc and raocow watcher I transcend both sides of this "fight". (Donnie Darko anyone?) Ok hes not trying to insult you guys, he admitted to not being entirely accurate(because he looked at the thread like once and everything he said is from his memory which is inaccurate), and he's basically trying to make things right by giving someone else a chance to do the Lets Play instead of him, and hes gonna feature it on his channel. This is an opportunity for this community and I think someone from these forums should take advantage of it. Honestly I think raocow should send him a link to his let's play with maybe a hey I didn't mean to sound insulting message and just take the free advertisment if he wins. Just leave the previous discussion in the past. Good luck with your submission BeatBoxingBoo.

The Minish Cap vids are in pretty good quality there. I don't really mind not having commentary, but then that kind of doesn't make it an LP to me, so keep that in mind. Other than that, I've got nothing else to say.

Guys I just wanted you to know that if I stop updating for a long time, it's because my computer decided to make a huge-ass deal about one small virus. Basically this warning from my antivirus continually pops up, and every time I have to close it so it doesn't get in the way. But my antivirus can't even fix the damn virus making it do this, so I'm kind of fucked. I have two options;

A. Buy a new computer for 800 - 2,000 USD

B. Take the computer into Best Buy, where I bought it, and have Geek Squad look at it.

Either way I'd have to tell my dad about it doing this and he'd freak out, and think it was all totally my fault and I'm a fuck up and should kill myself. We also don't have the money for a new computer. Also did I mention this is like the 4th one in like 3 years? He's not gonna want to buy another. We also don't really have the money anyways. If you wanna help then go ahead and ask questions.

EDIT: I got the warnings to stop. But, that still leaves the virus. I really don't see a possible way to get rid of it, because I deleted the file it was 'infecting', and that didn't work.

I know exactly what you're talking about. It's that stupid Antivirus Pro thing that's actually malware, isn't it? I had this thing try to ruin my computer last year. There's a long process that's involved in fixing it. I'll give you the link to it right now.

Pay attention to the steps and look it over. You may still want to tell your parents about it and then show them the link I'm giving you. That site helped save me $200 by doing this although it's still an annoying process. It took me awhile to do everything that was listed there.

No, that's not what this is. Funny though, I actually got that the day before the day I got this. Anyways I still can't fix the virus, but I at least made it so my computer stops warning me about it. Anyways I finally got some Amnesia uploaded, and am planning to start Metroid Prime 2: Echoes tomorrow. But if tomorrow is anything like the past 6 days, my dad will be home early and I won't be able to record because It's awkward to do so with him around. And no, I will not be telling him I'm a LPer any time soon.
