"evolve beyond the shell of a human being" Mibibli's Quest, everyone!

this is the place where lps are being talked about. it's important to talk about games being played on the internet.

Oh man, I love stuff like in today's level and was really hoping that would have carried over into the boss in some fashion, but Push Bot was acceptable. Other than his weird, 'I'm going to suddenly teleport on top of you sometimes', it looked pretty good. I see what the creator was going for, but the times that Push Bot would teleport super close to you (for his 'you must think fast so you don't get pushed off' trick), I think needed a bit more time between it and previous push so the player wasn't suddenly telefragged all the time. Or maybe don't allow him to teleport right on top of the player if they're currently jumping. The laser thing looked like it could get you into undodgable moments, but that looked like it was more about managing where you were.

I highly prefer the level being hard with the boss being easy, because last video we saw nothing new past the halfway point of the video and it was really kind of annoying.

Man raocow had a way easier time with that boss than I did. (I would have labeled this an easy stage/hard boss level.)

You can use the cross to skip the entire underwater section if you so desire.

I'd actually like to see the castle last, so that the rematch with Crocodibli gets suitable dramatic build-up

(despite recognizing it's probably going to be some hilarious anticlimax)

Wow, that looked like a reverse control mechanic that didn't suck all of the fun out of everything ever. I'm impressed.

Me doing Crocodibli's Castle first was both the best and the worst idea. Having Mind Missiles for all the others made them sooooo much easier, but it's also the second hardest stage (after Eggs).

Having the force shield powerup looks like it would've made things a lot easier as well.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to save those max life items until, you know, you're not at max lives?

oh I guess I never showed this on video but they don't last. When you die, even if you didn't take the medecine on your way there the first time, they won't be back when you respawn.

Ah, that would explain it. That's really not a very good design decision in my opinion. Items shouldn't simply disappear because the player waited to collect them.

I'm going to vote for Humanibli's Lair B just because I'm pretty sure raocow won't do that stage next.

(or he'll do lair C just to spite me)

Also, Crocodibli's Crocastle. As cool as the eltsacorC s'ilbidocorC segment is, was it really necessary to lead with the normal castle first, aside from the setup with Crocodibli meditating or whatever? Given that it's almost literally the same stage played frontwards and backwards, it feels like artificially lengthened gameplay after the fact.

raocow has said he's going to have both of the next Humanibli lairs be in one video, and there's a very good reason for that.

Well, there are a few things to consider.

1. The reversed castle plays completely differently than the normal castle, so it's hard to call the lengthening "artificial".
2. The reversed castle is effectively its own stage. If you game over, you start at the beginning of it, not the beginning of the normal castle.
3. Both of the castles are fairly small.

Given these, I thought Crocodibli's Castle was fantastic, and easily the best stage of World 2.

The extra lives aren't really "extra lives", per se. They exist solely to make it so you always start the very beginning of the level with full lives (since if you gave over there you don't lose anything). It would be the exact same effect as just making so "if you die before you hit the first checkpoint, fill your lives back to full", though probably less contentious due to misunderstanding their intent.

Man, that was a dark pig.
Having now seen it in action, the Magic Missile seems extremely overpowered.

Nightmare has my favorite theme in the game and I'm glad raocow likes it too.

It's so damn catchy!

I'd say its a good reward from the longest stage so far.

So, uh, are you just going to excise the entire 3rd Humanibli fight?

see, the problem is that it's not me - it's that youtube can be SUPER TOUCHY with everyone's friend.

If the fight is not meaningfully different I may have to, kind of what I did with those two scenes from Craz'd 2.

Notably the cat charlies in one of the VIPs had much more detailed penises than that.

at this point i'm a bit tired of this game and just waiting for it to be done so we can get to guacamelee

it's way too punishing for a game that has such a limited life system and the last video basically shows exactly why
i've honestly never played a video game in my life
