That buster power-up you just obtained is very useful... Not only does it give additional charge to your main buster, but you can charge your other sub-weapons, too! That tornado charge shot destroys airborne (mini) bosses in general.

Also, that vacuum fish over spikes is probably the hardest part of the stage, so having trouble there is normal...
Voting for dinosaur man because dinos are cool.

Yeah, boss weapons in this game are great. It's good to use them a lot because they get steadily less great with each newer X game. I've been voting for Crest man this whole time, and now that you've beaten him I'm at a loss who to vote for.

Now Sting Chameleon is probably the hardest Robot Master boss in Mega Man X. Moves around unpredictably, attacks swiftly, and goes invisible for varying periods of time. That armor powerup will help you survive some of the harder stages...

You didn't just get danmaku powers from Sting Chamelon. (though if that hits thrice at its ideal range, that's pretty good...)
Try the charged version of that, and see what happens...

We will never know what a Kawanger is... It's one of life's mysteries.
That was pretty smooth. You even saved an extra trip into that stage with the ice platform!
You also found the boss's weakness. They tend to be rather effective in the X games...
That Boomerang Cutter can bring those containers directly to you, making picking up extra items a bit simpler. Though I don't know if you require it for anything in particular...

kuwanger means cockroach. the boss is called boomerang cockroach

The word "kuwanger" comes from the word "kuwagata (クワガタ)" which is Japanese for "stag beetle."

yeah kuwanger comes from kuwagata, which is stag beetle
it's not seen in the sprite at all, but he actually has beetle caparace wing things too

later games get really silly with boss names, especially X5 and X6 with "Metal Shark Player"

also moustacheman is the boss that take the weakness the worst- generally all the harder bosses do though (so you lucked out not going for armadilloman first)

you are still missing a thing in moustachestage to get the super-secret powerup

After the Robot Masters, there are multiple stages that test your abilities, so expecting it to only be in one neat video is a tad unreasonable. You are close to the end, but there's some difficult stages in the way. Taking a while on them is natural, and is sometimes a test of perseverance. (I am also hoping you take out the bosses with the true weapons; you'll see what I mean when/if you get the super-secret power)

the instructions were wrong: the important thing was to pick the health, and I believe they even carry accross game overs

these are the final stages, and because the difficulty factors in upgrades like hearts and stuff and not just the weapons it spikes much more

although in this first one you kind of aren't entirely supposed to have the cannon upgrade: normally when Zero dies he gives X his arm cannon, which acts as an upgrade.
I have no idea why is it also in Flame Mammoth's stage in such a weird place when it works much better here since the stage is set up to teach you about the charged abilities (particularly invinvibility and shield, which is why you were having trouble)
and it kind of makes it go from "I can't go on, take my steed and the super awesome final upgrade" to "yup you sure are strong oh man"

You can go back to Armored Armadillo's stage for easier farming. Those bats near the beginning drop health frequently, and the unusual looking bat has a very high extra life drop rate.
