Trolls were definitely trolls, and people participated, tried, and submitted something.

Other than that, I'm looking forward for this entire contest.

Basically, rpgfan made one of the most infamous levels of malgx the first, and the very first screen is the exact same.

The fact its in the bottom tier really makes it work, It's enough to make you second guess "he didn't really...did he?"
shoulda put an unhappy horikawa in front of it for the extra paranoia.

Yesterday when I heard the episode would be out today I was thinking maybe it was a morning episode and I could see it before I left for work.

Seeing the estimated time in this thread I was slightly disappointed, until I realized that between walking to work, my shift, and walking home the episode would be out by the time I got back. It really helped cheer me up after a fairly boring day of mostly slicing onions and washing dishes.

The level where the Thwomps win, the hentai, the one that killed rao four times, and other assorted jokes in these bottom levels were pretty fun.

My level might even not wind up in garbage town, but just because I'm not in the first video doesn't mean I'm not in the bottom twenty...my level was pretty barebones and in my opinion a few of the ones we've seen already were better.

All of these wonderful comments on the hub, wow... Kinda overwhelming.

I can't stress enough how much Willhart did for this project. I first saw the hub back in January, back when it was still small (the city wasn't even started yet, it was a single screen!), and it was already graphically better than anything I would have done at the time. And it just kept getting more and more amazing as he (and we) kept adding to it and coming up with ideas for sections. Then my laptop broke down in early February and I was forced to use an ancient computer that can barely run SMBX, so I was near useless for a month, during which Willhart really did the meat of the hub.

I really want to publicly thank Willhart for being so patient with me. I'm kind of really bad at maintaining communication, and I didn't realize I wasn't responding to PMs enough until Horikawa contacted me over it. I did my best to make up for it with things like the flavorful text introducing each level, the various shoutouts (!) you'll be spotting throughout, and other nonsense I threw in. I still don't feel like I did enough... but that's probably just because Willhart did a heck of a lot!

Nahh man, you did what you could physically do and that's what matters. It still wouldn't have been quite the same without your assisting Willhart I'm sure. But no kidding, you both should be really proud of your accomplishment and partnership.

Geez, that hub looks GREAT! Awesome job everybody that worked on it and everybody that helped judge and put this together. I can't wait to both play the game (eventually), and watch raocow demo through it all.

I have just about nothing to say about my level. I ran out of time. It was not GOING to be trolly, I really wanted to make a good level, but suddenly I was almost out of time and I hadn't started yet.

To me, it just felt better to make something super super short and jokey that still sort of tried to use the assigned level name, instead of something mediocre that was a few screens and had actual platforming but didn't go anywhere unique. I'm happy with the reaction all of today's levels got though... here's to next year!

Thank you too for helping us keep motivated, giving some really valuable feedback and ideas, and making the hub a lot more fun to play. I was able to better focus on each individual section thanks to it, and the section order would have been a lot less logical without you.

I'm looking forward to everything too.

oh man time for some reviews
272nd - Dat Luigi Fan: 'vs.pewdiepie' - 6.66 (7/3/10): This deserved last no questions asked lol

271st - Learning-Timebuster: 'Estate' - 7 (9/5/7): At least you had an idea, which is 1% of a level, but the other 99% is the effort unfortunately.

270th - Jelljell1111: 'Take One Toad By Mouth Every Day' - 8 (12/4/8): Abstract.

269th - rpgfan4: 'Behold, There Is a Presentation! Deceive!' - 10.66 (8/5/19): This is brilliant, but I wrongfully predicted that you'd be higher up D:

268th - Sinc-X: 'Dude, I Just Saw a Horse in the Scarlet Devil Mansion! I Gotta Tell My Dad!' - 11 (13/8/12): I laughed so hard with raocow for no reason in this level; personally think it deserved higher.

267th - Burgers: 'Can We Please Stop Talking About Better Music? If We Don't, the Thwomps Win' - 13.33 (9/9/22): Well, the thwomps didn't win so that's good.
I'll probably store all of my reviews in an earlier post and put the link in my signature.
Congrats to the top 266 entrants! I'd list you all but that's too many people!

So much nonsense in a 10 minute span. Also, am I being vain, or am I the one in the very back of the train screen menacing the train?

It really is a pleasant looking hub. Heck, even the gross sewer looks kinda comfy. Great going, folks!

The judge's poop banner is also pretty awesome, ahaha.

What a great way to start the month!

Willhart, Blivsey; you made a beautiful hub. All those little tricks and bits; technology is amazing!

Also, if this is the bottom, then the climb up should be pretty darned pleasant; great start talkhaus, can't wait to see the rest!

I wonder if this thread is going to manage to become the biggest in talkhaus history by the time it's over. 12 pages after a single episode is kinda impressive, lol.

Man, if I hadn't just gotten my first job when this started I totally would've participated. Oh well, I'm pretty sure there's likely gonna be a MaGL X3 sometime next year.

Is this gonna be like last year in that the actual release will be after raocow has LP'd the entire thing?
