I was considering adding it, but it was not on the list and I had forgotten how long this stage was. We could probably add at least two angry cow warnings to this area on an update someday though.Quman wrote:Well, theGarlyle wrote:Also I am so so disappointed that there was no Angrycow warning for "Behold! thing isn't exactly obvious. Though the lack of an angrycow warning is sad, especially after we mentioned it in this thread.

Podomoo
was one of the highlights of that streamAlso almost forgot about this, but my world 16 Favorite was 'Operations Do Not Come from the Castle. Where the Heck Were You Raised to Think That? They Come from the Lake' followed by 'Life Can Be Broken Down into Three Categories - Speed, Strongholds, and Wendy Koopa' and 'Peach in the Jungle'
(these are some long level names, geez, especially 'Peach in the Jungle', I mean come on)

That's nice and all, but does anyone know the number of remaining levels for each character and the average number of stars per level?FrozenQuills wrote:Ignoritus wrote:Does whoever was keeping track of it all have the list of Top 50 participants?FrozenQuills wrote:BTW we are in the top 50 now: http://pastebin.com/SxkLv9sg

I remember that the total amount of stars was shown on one of the videos, so it should be possible to count the average number of stars at least. The numbers for each character, and the amount of levels that used lua/lunalua was shown too on one of the threads, but those would take a lot longer to calculate without access to the hub.S1eth wrote:That's nice and all, but does anyone know the number of remaining levels for each character and the average number of stars per level?FrozenQuills wrote:Ignoritus wrote:Does whoever was keeping track of it all have the list of Top 50 participants?FrozenQuills wrote:BTW we are in the top 50 now: http://pastebin.com/SxkLv9sg

Well, I know I made the goof of using the roulette in both of my submissions. (and after seeing some questions regarding music in the old discussion, chances are that stuff got flubbed, too, even though it worked for me in testing) Sorry about that.
Menacingly Follow in the Place Where Duck Hunt Happens
I think that place is called 'Duck Hunt' by Smash 4 standards. Anyway, this is a pretty cool level. The main duck is funny, and the graphics are put to use well. In agreement with Sturg with how creative it is to use that particular grass tile set as tree tops.
Dude, I Just Saw a Sword in Dreamland! I Gotta Tell My Dad!
I don't really get what happened, but it still made me laugh in the end, so hey. Pretty neat having all the friendly enemies working as different platforming bits. The reason for Luigi's incarceration is also hilarious.
The top 50 get rolling with a bit of a goofy pair, eh? Also this library doesn't seem to have many folks in it. Besides the player and the koopa revealed today. Do the boat folks just don't like reading?

That second level today had some really interesting platforming.
I think it's more that far too many people anymore just don't read.FluffyMeatloaf wrote:Also this library doesn't seem to have many folks in it. Besides the player and the koopa revealed today. Do the boat folks just don't like reading?

That second level in today's video is certainly unique, and in more ways than one.

I was only sorta feeling the Duck Hunt level, but then the ending - and Clock Tower music - completely sold me on it.

...I kind of don't want to know how those ears make sense.
raocow, you didn't follow the naming gimmick! Minus 10 points on the video!!
...How does that work? I dunno. But the videos are apparently now in the contest, too.
...Uh... where was I again?
Oh, yes. Levels.
(50th) Dragondraikk: Menacingly Follow In the Place Where Duck Hunt Happens
I loved this level, full out. The sprite swaps were pretty solid here. The red ducks had a few issues, but that's okay. You made good use of the SMB3 tileset to make a retro-looking level. I think you nailed it. The homing enemies might have been a bit numerous, but that's one of the few ways to provide challenge without removing immersion, I think. Speaking of that, you did a fantastic job there. The duck sounds were really good! And the ending was just fantastic in pretty much every way.
(49th) Quman: Dude, I Just Saw a Sword in Dreamland! I Gotta Tell My Dad!
This is a really creative use of the name here! Platforming with the monsters all being friendly is something you hardly ever see...
The jokes and the ending here was just pure gold. The door gags were really silly, and raocow's silliness just made it that much better.
And your use of technology was outstanding.

I like when Link is portrayed as a quiet character. The flavors today were good, and I liked the second level a lot for the humor and the type of challenge it provided. The first level was very nice too, if maybe a little short. It was long enough for the story it had to tell though.
