In my opinion, the rooms past the purple wall room are easier in comparison to most the other rooms. The triangles can simply be avoided (it also might be for the best considering low health and lack of places to fight them), the next purple room I didn't take damage on on my first try since there's more space to move in, the final spike room is quick and requires some careful control which you should have if you've survived the rest of BlackCastle.
I'm not a fan of how few and far between the save points are.
They're actually a bit TOO close to eachother -- the problem is that one of them is missing on Difficult and higher. It goes from "too close" past "about right" into "downright unfair".

I agree with this. Regular is too easy and Difficult/Masterful is totally unfair.

I never have any problems with BlackCastle. All my trial-and-error was on Simple, and I just remembered how to do it all on future runs. I've probably died about three times there, ever. Of course, I am going to regret saying that when I get around to finishing on Masterful, just you watch.
Oh well, we're closing in on the end. I can't wait for raocow's reaction to the last boss.
I've just gotta say... The failure video was alright, but the last bit, trying to make headway against the flow of purple bubbles... that was kinda hard to watch. Rao was losing ground just about when he got it, and then when they finally got him... Yeah. I guess it'll make it all the sweeter when he finally gets through it all, though.

What i wanted to say is the second darkness room is easier to mess up than the ghost room, but the way you did it was just awesome! I felt really sorry when you encountered the "duck, jump and get stuck in the ceiling" glitch. And you missed the heart because of it!
Btw most of these youtube people are dumb as hell, some dude said like "no offense, but i did it on Regular, it was easy,you suck". Freakin`n00bs!
I don't really know raocow.. But i think you should go back where you got stuck. Because you didn't really explore the whole thing there. And getting stuck like that is just a glitch and it doesn't just happens there.
raocow, you said that you would never approach that place where you got stuck again. Well, please do approach that place again, and this time, don't get stuck by jumping up!
The trick to the second darkness room is that you just have to bulldoze past it. If you just keep running and sliding on the ceiling without stopping, you'll get to the end without ever getting hit.
Oh yeah, and great job not getting that heart raocow, now you have to do the whole section all over again what did I tell you? <>
not to be mean raocow but how did you miss that heart all you do is (dont know if this is a spoiler so i'll pretend it is to be safe) walk left under the red how the heck do you get glitched up then screw up yourself for finding it
There was actually a thread on YMMF considering out how you can get stuck if you press up while at the same time ducking in a one-block high passage...
Well, considering that raocow essentially already found the heart in BlackCastle and everybody else has told him where it is anyway, I say we should leave it up to him whether or not he needs to go back and get it. If he feels an obligation to get it, I wouldn't stop him, but considering he'd have to repeat the same area that he spent two entire videos on (and he barely made it through alive on his successful run), I don't really feel it's that necessary.

he did talk to her already, you needed to talk to her to have the blackcastle portal open to you.
and there was a mention of an expansion for this game, where you head through the ocean with the girl if i remember right, and explore new areas.
