For tomorrow, what would you guys prefer - a failure video where I end being audibly angry, or just... skip the update for AUS in order to prefer a happy illusion
i believe that the failure video would be most enjoyable for all who enjoy raocow

so the fail video would be alright with me, I guess. it would be like... raocow playing kaizo or something, but with a chickadee and lots of contrast trouble and spikes. and no mario.
ok maybe it's different than kaizo but yeah!

I haven´t read most of the posts here, but may I suggest to you that you go to shop guy in SkyTown and buy the rest of his stuff? You know, if you get too frustrated, you can like buy some stuff in the end of the video and everyone is going to be like "OMG"

so yeah, hoho

I really didn´t expect it to be like this... i never saw you being that desperate in any LP video of yours before... and as much as i hate to say it, there´s about 5 more rooms to go...

It happened before, in older series.

I hate design like the invisible ghost room. There's little platforming; it's just a memorization bullshit fest.

Hey raocow! Seriously remember to look for the blue in the castle of black! Otherwise you'll have to do this whole section again a second time! Urgency!!!!

Yeah, that room is really trial-and-error-y. On Masterful I just did it by getting there with full health and tanking like 3 hits.

Also yeah, the heart is in this section and I really hope you manage to get it before you reach the next savepoint or you'll hate yourself for having to do it again.

It doesn´t really have to do anything about memorization, because you can see the platforms pretty often... all you have to do is find a strategy to get rid of the ghosts, then the room is easy! I liked the idea of putting in darkness in that room...

I personally think that... well, i can´t tell at the moment... i hope raocow gets that far tomorrow!
And... remember to check out the blue...

Man that was intense, even knowing it was a failure video it's still something of great calibur. I'd have never been able to keep the patience raocow did in that video! I was cheering raocow on in the purple ball right-left scrolling room and felt so bad for raocow when he died. :( Keep up this great work man, really enjoying it! I know you can do it!

The difficulty really ramps up for blackcastle on Difficult compared to Normal. Normally I just have to bulldoze through the ghost room but here it's not an option you want to take...

The ghost room isn't incredibly difficult if you work out a system. I ususally just jump to the first platform to have the ghost start chasing me, jump to the second one behind and above me, wait a second until the ghost gets close, then jump over the ghost onto the third platform, turn around, and shoot him into the left wall. From there, you can continue to the platform above, while shooting the ghost back again once you get back on top. I usually shoot the second ghost into the right wall and try to dive bomb past it.

After getting past those purple cloud walls before passing the save point, most of the challenge is over. It's relatively easy afterward if you proceed slowly. I would just worry about perfecting everything before the ghost room so you can afford to take a few hits in the last few rooms beyond the ghost room and that nasty spike room before it.

You just have to hone down a method that pushes both ghosts off screen and perform it reliably. If you panic you lose.

Actually, past the ultra-fast purple orb room is...

Another dimmer room, with TRIANGLES.

And above that, more purple orbs.

And then a terribly annoying platforming thing.

I gotta say, most failure videos have been pretty fun for me to watch, but this one hurt a bit. It's probably because I just finished playing it a couple of months ago, and that Blackcastle is particularly frustrating.

... It's hearing that sort of helpless frustration that makes me want to go make a nice set of sugar-breads and a big pot of tea to balm the wounds.

As far as failure/frustration videos go, that one was rather enjoyable, compared to, say, some of the MariAri stuffs.

Watched the whole 40:39 long video. Wow! The hack´s called Super Challenge World, but that level wasn´t challenging, it was just stupid!

Also, the darkness here was way nastier than the one in Blackcastle.
