Another level that's a two-in-one deal. I'm not sure how many there are left, but they do have the courtesy of having that telltale "and" in the names.
Anyway, anyone reminded of Ghirahim when they saw the sky palace? That's what it reminded me of for some reason.
At the very least, there's only two levels left in World 5 now. I'm looking forward to seeing the very next one tomorrow, if only because
of the mini Clown Car ride!

You know, I'm liking how creative this episode has been so far, especially after the most recent video. There were a lot of neat ideas in today's level that aren't seen that often, like the vertical water section or the gradient background. It all has a sort of "outside the box" feel to it that I think gives it some charm. It's kind of too bad that a lot of levels in the project (including the one shown today) seem to have some bizzare design choices. That fact puts some dents in the episode as a whole.

thanks for that riveting information there, Ms. Otane.
Really I think we could have all not known about that, and forget about 'Go is God'.

Sometimes the journey is more important than the consistency. Long level would probably get boring, if it looked the same all the way through.

I get that. And despite the weird bridging it did the ideas were really nice.
Honestly I thought the birdo fight was kinda interesting. Really the bat pipe and the layout of the boss room made the whole thing really seem challenging.
That and the shades of pink didnt hurt my eyes. A pleasing pink!

Welp, there goes World 5. It's pretty remarkable for having two themes and a really useful rest station.
Also, if you didn't stop time, once you got to the bridge area (right around the hammer bro), you'd be accosted by a Wall of Doom and the ever-friendly phrase "Go to Hell!". (Yes, that's essentially what they put there.) Good thing you found that switch before that, though.

I like how Bowser Jr. is reduced to being a barely mobile Rinka machine. Seemed like kind of a boring boss fight to play, though.

If I ever make a Mother Brain boss, I'll give out my ammo in volleys of three. Spoonfeeding one by one is just tedious.

English speakers usually call them squeaky hammers. Pico-pico = squeak squeak

I thought the clown car sprite couldn't be edited with just vanilla SMBX? I remember there being an issue with that in ASMBXT where someone tried turning it into a Reimu-mobile, but the graphics reverted to default as soon as the player got in it. I think I remember them having to do some hacking to change the default, too. Did this game do that as well, or is it simpler than I am remembering?

That's not the clown car, that's the glitchy Airship Cockpit.

In 1876, the Japanese government hired
[William Smith] Clark as a foreign advisor to establish the Sapporo Agricultural College (SAC), now Hokkaido University. During his eight months in Sapporo, Clark successfully organized SAC, had a significant impact on the scientific and economic development of the island of Hokkaido, and made a lasting imprint on Japanese culture. Clark's visage overlooks Sapporo from several statues and his parting words to his Japanese students, "Boys, be ambitious!" have become a nationally known motto in Japan.

Okay, so I had to look up the quote in today's video. Boy, did I learn a lot from that one thing!
Oh, and the fortress leads to another post-game level. Unlike the previous one, however, you absolutely have to come back to it
after you beat the game.
It won't let you leave otherwise. At least not when I played it.
