Re: a serious question for y'all
It seems so weird to have asking you questions be a reward when I could ask you a question right now. Why is that?
(count that as one of my Patreon questions please xP)

The first thing I would do with infinite power would be to make myself a cave where I could look at my shadow forever.
<- Go team Yeah Doctor Shemp.!
<- That's everyone being nice to me. ^^
I made a game called Utter Confusion! Play it! :D
It's a lot of fun and has been incredibly popular at every indie game dev party I've brought it to.

it's a product of me struggling to find somethign that feels like a 'reward' for peeps, and I know that I tend to be not super open about a lot of personal stuff so.. yeah. I dunno!

Oh it's ok raocow. I was just trying to be funny. :) I actually have no problem with having that as a reward.
Actually now that you've expressed that you don't find yourself very open; I have a much more interesting question to ask you:
What is your view of what happens to you (that is your consciousness) after death?

Re: a serious question for y'all
I think it's time to make a separate topic for patreon videos and polls. Is this a good idea?

Perhaps a Patreon supporter subforum should be considered? I can't speak for everyone but having it public might make some people feel like they're being pushed to support rao on Patreon whether they want to or not.

Re: a serious question for y'all
I thought about that but that was before I actually realized how patreon worked. Since they have a comment thread for each item raocow posts I don't think it's necessary? That's raocow's call though, if you think it's a good idea I can set up a thing and make an invite-only "patreon supporters" group

i don't think it's necessary lol
and it'd be a nightmare to maintain
if they had an api it'd be trivial tho they should get on that

Re: a serious question for y'all
My thought was that it might be a good idea since people are still discussing the Patreon stuff here a bit. It's not like it would need to be something active or anything either. Just make a usergroup people can request to join and have the people in charge of the group verify they're a Patreon supporter and have a forum that is only visible to members of that usergroup.Jesuiscontent wrote:I thought about that but that was before I actually realized how patreon worked. Regardless it's not a huge deal in the end since, as people pointed out, there's comments on Patreon. I just thought it should be considered under the logic I originally posted is all since raocow doesn't want people to feel obligated to contribute to his Patreon.

Re: a serious question for y'all
I mean, the discussion stuff like "hey there's a new patreon video go check it out" doesn't need to be invisible to non-patreon people. We can just have a thread.
Re: a serious question for y'all
Aren't we supposed to receive emails when you post updates?
I've been receiving weekly email updates from someone else on patreon for two years now, but I haven't received any from you and I do have all the email notification options turned on.

You didn't answer my retsutalk question even though it was the highest rated question! I still want to know if you'd make a guest appearance on one cause that'd be super cool.

Re: a serious question for y'all
I shall continue asking my questions here because I much prefer the feel of it to the Patreon comments. Though this has the disadvantage of giving raocow more places to look when compiling his questions
.
To keep with asking interesting philosophical questions:
If given the chance; would you use or how much would you use the experience machine? (that is to say a machine that can simulate any pleasure in existence directly in your brain with no side effects)

Re: a serious question for y'all
I was just thinking of a pinned topic that keeps track of patreon updates. And since you have freakin La-Mulana on that list for the B-side, I guess the "Don't suggest these games to raocow" topic doesn't need to be pinned anymore.
In any case, dib on the topic, of that's ok.

just a head's up that due to circumstances, the patreon video and vote ranking will be tomorrow instead of today?!
I guess technically I said on the weekend for these so it's not REALLY late...

Ok. Next question:
Would you take a pill that would dramatically and permanently increase your intelligence?
