That stick will be a plot device in a future episode. It has to be, I NEED CLOSURE!

Huh? I just said that in response to you
I guess someone must've said it in the video comments because I didn't actually check those... ah, yep, there it is. And thus I am double derp.

Fuck this global climate. It's only the start of winter and here I am surrounded by snow while it's ceiling fan and T-shirt weather in Canada of all places.

I believe that electricity is cheaper over here with Hydro Québec. We can afford to over-heat.

Quebec has to keep its homes overheated, so that their stinky french cheeses ferment properly.

the '+5 plywood stick of better luck next time' was a pretty good litmus test of the influences on raocow's fans

Incidentally, I wonder if it could be made vorpal if you sharpened it a bit.

I know raocow's canadian, but hearing someone on the internet I watch say Aluminium makes me more happy than it probably should. :P

There is no need to censor my real name today, if you see this.

This project is great, makes me wish I'd joined earlier so I could have sent a present.

And Wreck-It-Ralph was a really good movie, I think you'll enjoy it, raocow. :)

That's it guys! We can see what raocow looks like in the reflection on the DVD case!

It starts to get clearer by playing with the contrast and the shadow/highlights ratio.

And here's raocow after reconstructing the areas hidden by the movie title.

Copy paste from youtube:
Hooray!

I wonder if he remembers that PM I sent him asking if he has seen that movie from over a month ago. I hope he got the '8 maids-a-milking joke' I thought it was especially appropriate seeing as his name is raocow.

I specifically requested day 8. A few of us requested specific days. 8 is my favorite number. It may be because I was born on the 8th.
Also, it's my half birthday today. Yay!

___

Anyway, does anyone here think the 8 maids joke was good?

Welp, just got done watching the movie!

Man, it's pretty good, though peeps were right about some of the weaknesses but it don't matter.
it's really 'background jokesey'

Yeah, that's the main thing I loved about it. This XKCD sums me up pretty well, and Wreck-It Ralph was pretty rewarding with its background gags.

I'll also say this:

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of my favourite movies out there, and this movie scratches a really similare itch. It's the fact that all these fictional characters that we recognise are used. Like not jimmy heart versions, not loose parodies, but like, these litteral elements of our pop culture presented as living 'things' is just fascinating to me. It's too bad that this feels somewhat under-explored (but I knew that was going to be a thing going in).

also those bits where ralph is allowed to just be unstoppable force of nature are pretty entertaining.

I'm glad you liked it. I myself haven't seen the whole thing, but I did see a decent chunk at Superstore.

It actually took me awhile to find this thing, I expected it to be easy.

Good thing a sequel is being made. Hopefully they have figured out a good role for Mario to fill.

Actually surprised you hadn't seen it yet ol' rao. I thought every gamer kind of person would have gone to go see it since it turns out it's a pretty decent vidya-based movie for once.

The amount of stuff I missed due to child innocents in Roger Rabbit. My mind nearly exploded when I re-watched it several years later (after finding a working VCR)

Man, I love Demolish-it Danny. It's so well done in so many regards. The writing was just all around really good on it.

And the Turbo twist is honestly one of the best I've ever seen. So much subtle foreshadowing, and it still flies under most people's radar the first time through.

I have yet to see it either. I just have yet to get around to it for some reason.

I watched that movie a while back. Good stuff. I liked how it managed to be its own thing instead of over-relying on the video game cameos and in-jokes.

Amusing tale about that, though... I actually missed the first scene, and...still haven't re-watched the movie yet to see it. I was fast-forwarding through those trailers and logos and whatnot, and apparently accidentally skipped past the intro scene. And I managed to not even notice until I read the TV Tropes page later that night, and it made mention of some scenes I... had somehow missed. :P
