I never even heard of Moomin before the internet brought it to my attention.

I wonder why it never caught on in the US...

Aww, the Moomins!

It's been forever since I last heard/saw/read something about them, but I absolutely adored them when I was small. What a lovely gift, Mikkofier!

I've never heard about Moomin before, is it more popular in Europe in general or just locally in Finland? It seems like a nice comic, I'll be sure to get the first book as well next time I order from amazon.

My gosh, it's Moomin!

I read some of it in Kindergarten, brings back a lot of memories.

Lazy dog jumpedhappy Fox:s (as in the TV channel? The Finnish word for fox the animal is kettu) dumb face? What are you trying to say?
Alas, that's not "the whole thing", just Volume One. I was originally going to send the Whole Thing, but my meager finances just couldn't take it.
The decision to gift something Moomin related came from 1) the Finnish cliche of giving foreigners Moomin stuff as gifts (always a safe bet) and 2) while lurking randomly around the forum, I came upon a post indicating raocow was at least aware of Moomins.

Looks to be Europe in general + Japan, funnily enough. They've made several animated series from it. The newest movie came out this year.

Probably "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog".

The company also made chairs that were in the same style to go along with that amazing ceiling fan. Don't ask me how I know this information though.

Just chairs? They could have made houses in the same style if you ask me. It's so glorious.

I think it's late 20s, approaching 30 soonish though. (I want to say he's either 28 or 29? I can't remember for certain though.)

I only really remember the animation series and the Comet in Moominland. They were shown on TV when I was tiny.

I remember watching the odd Moomin episode as a kid, that's pretty neat to have the whole comic volume though. ^^

The Moomins are very much my shit. I remember reading all the books as a kid, then crying because she couldn't write any more. I wasn't aware there was a comic strip, though. Hence my extreme jellity.
