Yeah Miyuron's gift is super cool. It even looks better irl. Probably because of the way light reflects on it like on a painting.

Thanks, everyone! I'm overwhelmed with all this positive feedback. Making raocow speechless is probably the best Christmas gift for me this year! :D

So my day has finally come! I was really paranoid about it breaking because as you could see the only protection it had was some newspaper wrapping.

The technique I used is cross stitch. Very easy to learn, and you can make lotsa nice things with it. I'm not entirely satisfied with the colors, but it's all I had to work with. Anyway I'm so glad you like it, it took me a few hours to make, but it was entirely worth it.

PS: I distinctly remember my French teacher telling me that "Meilleurs souvenirs" is a common way to end letters and such. Did she teach me wrong!? D:

PPS: Your last pronounciation of my username would be how I pronounce it ("Mee-Yoo-Ron"), but I really don't mind if anyone gets it wrong.

I was also curious about the price of such a thing, but it's actually not so expensive...I'm surprised amazon sells them so cheap, I expected them to be around 150 dollars or so.

But I still have a huge question mark in my head...this projet of sending him presents...was this a secret between some people or opened to anybody? I'm sorry if someone asked this already in the thread but I don't come here often. It was surprising to see no presents coming from people like SNN or YoshiCookieZeus, for as far as I know, know raocow from a long time and they appreciate him. Even if they don't come here so often now, but if I was the organizer of such an event, I would search the people he has memories with, I mean, Horikawa actually brought Ryuu to make a level for a SMBX project, so it was a really astonishing surprise and I'm confused people like SNN or YCZ didn't participate to such an event. Or maybe I'm just wrong and they just don't want to send stuff to raocow for a specific reason. Anyway sorry again if my question looks weird.

Or maybe SNN's present is actually Production 2. And YCZ's the nicer version of ASMT. :V

It was open to anybody -- if you heard about the project, you were free to sign up. There was a thread (that discouraged raocow from looking inside), and anybody who frequented the forum enough probably found it at one point or another. But not everyone is going to bother, and that's okay.

Yes it was public on the Talkhaus. Actively asking people I don't personally know to participate in this would have been rude imo. It's the type of thing that can be embarrassing to refuse for some.

Gears are in motion to top Ryuu and BlackDS's appearances next year should I win the right to run X2. Mwahahahahaha. Keeping this year closer to vest though. Want to surprise even the other judges if I can.

It's also dependent on how they browse the forums too though. I wasn't aware of the thread until it was too late since I generally just use the notifications feed to get to threads and only rarely look at the subforums themselves. So it's quite possible that something like that would happen with someone who only comes here on occasion as well. And some people come here through bookmarks so they may use a bookmark that would result in them missing the thread too.
