I've found your best LPs are the exploration ones like AUS and VVVVVV.
I actually e-mailed Matt (the creator of AUS) a while back, and he actually said he's considering making an AUS2. If that ever happened, would you play it?

I've never really seen the appeal in MegaMari. I only played a bit of the game for myself, but I watched PinkKittyRose's full run of the game, and I found the level design to be really bland, and overall, it just didn't look that fun. :P
I kinda doubt that really affects if raocow will play it or not, but whatever. I shared my opinion. :P
Well, it's based off of Megaman, a series that raocow apparently loves. :P

In my opinion your explanation is a bit worse than it really is. Although it gets a little bit repetitive with placement at some points, the enemy placement is kinda creative. The music is also very outstanding and the difficulty is very hard with a hint of fun in it, which makes a game awesome in my opinion. I think the graphics are swell also.

Just my opinion. :P

Nobody cares how bad you are at da video gamez, cowrao.

I mean, if your so "terrible" at it that it makes you angry then obviously don't play it.

JUST saying. :P

May as well post this here. I posted it in the request forum, but I'll post here as well.

A short, multi-tasking (and difficult) platformer called Guy & Buddy. It's not very long (as kind of implied by describing it as short), but it could make a fun LP.

what really.

I was under the impression that all GM users who make a giant game never want to ever make anything like it ever again.

I LOVE the MegaMan series too, but there's something MegaMari does wrong. I don't know. :P

Matt has been considering AUS2 for years though. Presently, he's not doing much, or at least showing it.

We, as the Talkhaus, should organize a campaign where we spam his e-mail with requests for AUS2 every day until the project is either started or completed. Whatever works.

...On the other hand, he would probably hate us from that point on, but hey! AUS2!

I'll just pretend I never read that.

I wonder what happened to that old extension project back at the old forums though. It was mainly managed by the newer members, the older ones and I didn't have much hope for it.

I should go check.
UPDATE:Forums don't exist anymore. Thought so...

oh man, An Untitled Expansion! I remember that! I think chdata was super-involved in that. he might still have the resources and stuff (then again I could be completely mistaken).

...Quickly! Everyone flood chdata with messages demanding he resume work on something he may or may not have had anything to do with!

IMO this game is more fun to play than to watch. It's designed to be high fun using not as high variation, unlike some other games that are all about variation (Psycho Waluigi, for a recent example).

Also, I think raocow means that he's not good enough to make an interesting informative series out of it.

I would accept an LP of it only on the condition that it doesn't go in that stupid and overdone Cirno-Eirin-etc. order.

the ascetic run is going to end in about a week if things continue at this pace. I kind of want to do a proper hack next, but I don't really have anything in mind. I've had a lot of requests over time but it all kind of muddled together and I'm not sure what to consider.

Anyone got a refresher on promising stuff available right now?

Three SMW hacks which are worth considering:

Super Pika Land Ultra Well designed mostly vanilla hack - you play as a small mario (pokemon) the whole time but get power ups.

Back to the Classics Another nicely designed vanilla hack. Shorter than SPLU.

Super Mario Bros 2 Dream Courses A hack in the style of SMB2 USA. Fairly accurate for the most part and does a nice job. Shortish.

I vote for Back to the Classics if you have something exciting and unique planned after it. Otherwise, I will go with Pika Land.

I'd like to see this one done by raocow. It's not very difficult as hacks go but I found it to be one of the more engaging hacks I've played actually. I got all the way to world 5 before I lost interest iirc. Usually I lose interest in hacks before the end of world 1 anymore.

I guess it's worth saying, but after vanilla smw it'd be great if the next hack project was about as chocolatey as possible, in some way. Even if it's some sort of gimmick hack or something.

The SMB3 hack is pretty chocolatey. From the review:
So what makes Mario Adventure so superlative in the world of lackluster and usually pointless hacks? Because, like I mentioned before, it's a completely new game. There are new graphics, new enemies, new enemy behaviors, new power-ups, new items, new rules, and tons of all-new, completely original levels. The game even uses SRAM, a la Zelda, (albeit only emulated at the moment) to save your progress in the game.
There is also random weather, and Kuribo's shoe can be used in any level. You have infinite lives, so coins are used to buy items.
