I'd like to see a raocow playthrough of the Mario hack Super Pika Land Ultra: Vanilla Version. It's not nearly as difficult as some hacks but the level design is quite good in my opinion.

What about the rom hack Pokémon Darkness? I was a bit suspicious when I downloaded it but it ended up having pretty neat level design, and the Pokemon graphics are a nice change.

Hey raocow, whenever you get the chance, I have a fangame that may interest you.

Psycho Waluigi. It's an extremely unique and creative game that stars Waluigi (duh) and he has the assistance of some telepathic eyeball thing called Psycho Iris that lets him pick up and throw things with his mind. It actually doesn't have all that much in common with Mario games in general, despite starring a Mario character, I guess the best way to describe it would be a fangame in spirit.

The main game is around 30 levels long, but the levels are fairly lengthy (I would imagine most levels would take you a whole video to beat blind, as it is a pretty tough game), and a ton of the challenge is getting all of the gold crowns (by getting enough money by the end of the levels) to unlock levels in the secret world. For that I'd probably beat the main game first, then take a bit of a break to get all the gold crowns, perhaps recording how to get the golden diamonds (as they're a big part of getting the crowns, along with not dying) then going through all of the secret levels.

Anyways, it's an extremely good fangame that takes a concept and thoroughly explores all that can be done with it, and I think it'd make a really good LP. Maybe give it a look at for a B-Side sometime?

I played the first world of Psycho Waluigi and it was pretty fun. It will take some getting used to that the jump and the "do stuff" button are switched from where basically every game ever normally has them, so your "Y" button jumps and your "B" button uses your powers. This is when you configure it for a game pad of course. It looks to be a fun sort of Mario/Metroidvania hybrid style game.

I'll have to throw out another recommendation for Psycho Waluigi. It's excellently crafted and full of surprises.

It'd make a perfect B-side for when you finish and/or give up on Nitroid, if you don't already have something else planned.

It plays like Wario Land 4, with a bit of Kirby mixed in as well. I'll have to, uhm... second, third fourth that suggestion!

if you ever do one of those Side B things where you play a bunch of random games each video in the same vein as the One More Level series, I have recommended Not Tetris 2 in the past. (in case you've never seen it, I'm directly linking to the download so you can play it blind)

an additional recommendation is Gluey 2. I'm playing that right now and it's quite fun

raocow make sure you aren't getting any Mario fangames from the Softendo site. The guy that made Mario Forever has been stealing other fangames for his site and hacking them to credit himself, as well as packaging them with toolbars and possibly malware.

Are you sure that's the same guy (Buziol) running Softendo? I remember his older non-mario games were actually prety good. Shame I can't find them anymore. Another shame the best one was still in Polish.

It's whoever is running the site. There's several MFGG games on there, including Psycho Waluigi. Super Mario Crossover is on there as well. That's why I brought it up here.

The guy has two sites on two different servers - softendo.com and buziol.pl. There's also a third site, mariocity.com, that is stealing from the other two for whatever reason. I don't recommend downloading anything from these sites.

No, you wouldn't be allowed to re-upload it, but if you really must, you could upload -- to Mediafire, Megaupload, Sendspace, or some other, similar file sharing site -- a 10-15 minute long "highlight" reel, and only that. Choose out of all of the footage that you think that people liked best-- for those who want to go back and "relive all the good times" -- and you can upload it. But nothing else, got it?

Grotesque characters with vehicles going through various obstacle courses that are usually plastered with gruesome death traps and mechanics, randomly losing limbs together with absurd masses of blood and gore while still trying to ride on and not be completely shredded by harpoons, spikes, explosives or other user generated lethal devices.
Seems like a good raocow game.
