Even with a guide I still got lost playing World 1. Most confusing World 1 I've ever attempted

The Touhou Luna Nights postgame content got added a few weeks ago, so that game is now complete, at least.

i mean i'd love to see raocow play this because i love it but also would expect it would cause him a lot of frustration & the entire game is puzzles so unless you really enjoy watching the puzzle solving process...

i still wanna see rao the cow play environmental station alpha sometime (same dev as baba, it's also the best metroidvania ever but that's irrelevant)

Has anyone itt requested any of the Shinobi games? The Revenge Of Shinobi is still a pretty good platformer, and its sequel is even better. Idk that much about the Master System original, but its sequels still rule a lot, and I imagine raocow'd find them pretty fun as non-Sonic Sega platformers.

Revenge of Shinobi is a great game... after you've played it a few times. It's got tons of blind jumps, enemies ambush you from off-screen, not to mention the continue system that handicaps you if you choose to continue. It becomes much more enjoyable when you've had the time to learn the levels.

I wouldn't mind seeing it attempted but I wonder how well it would work for a blind LP.

Since M&L:SSS went so well, people are gonna start suggesting other RPGs for raocow to play, so I'm gonna get in first and re-suggest WoL

I honestly think Undertale and Deltarune would make good livestreams if he does one of those again. That may go better than daily recorded format.

preferrably ps1 version, better gameplay, better fan translation(s) and an optional manual mode for the characters in battle, due to the tales of destiny battle engine.

i don't want raocow to just play nothing but mario and earthbound-likes

a revisit of ff6 for raocow could also be neat, i'm sure he would enjoy it.

I already threw this into the casual idea pool after that one M&L video in which raocow said he prefers playing as the "nice guy" over the "rogue". Thank you for making it a formality

I am aware that Undertale is very over-LP'd, and probably over-suggested at this point as well, but as far as RPGs go I honestly can't think of one that's better suited to raocow's tastes. It's quirky and has a good sense of humor about itself, it's not super long and doesn't have a ton of boring exposition, the battle mechanics are unique and interesting. One of the reasons why Mario & Luigi turned out so well was that the battles had an active element that kept things fresh each time- Undertale has that, but to an even greater degree; every enemy, especially bosses, has you doing something a little different in order to dodge their attacks and eventually spare them.

It's easy to be turned off by the intense buzz surrounding the game, since everyone and their annoying dog has played it, but at its core it's still a very good game, and I think it would be a fun time for everyone.

Undertale, and to a lesser extent, Deltarune Chapter 1, seem like ripe backseating fodder, though. If Superstar Saga was a YT comment wasteland, I can only imagine how bad those two would be.

If you've been on the internet at all since it came out you've probably had its entire metastructure spoiled for you anyway : (

I only played them for the first time late last year and, surprisingly enough, I felt like I'd been spoiled on so little, despite making zero effort to avoid spoilers.

That said, is "there's going to be backseating" a valid reason not to LP a game? It's definitely gonna be rampant, but to rule it out completely because of that...?

In games people usually recommend going into as 100% blind as possible, yes.

In beloved ones with a bunch of easily missable conversations and easter eggs, I'd assume doubly so.

i think if raocow played undertale he'd just need to never read the comments or the talkhaus thread, or at least not read the comments and separately have people be mercilessly policing the thread if he's reading it. the undertale experience i'd want from raocow is one where the only things he knows are A) whatever he remembers from cultural osmosis and B) anything he learns while playing by himself.

more than anything else though, if there's anything i've taken away from the la-mulana and superstar saga lps, it's that i infinitely prefer raocow when he doesn't feel self-conscious about how he's playing a given game. whatever could possibly keep that at bay would be the best route imo.
